Thinking of a Smallfly and need some input...

I have been on a balisong kick due to the fact i dont have one and how awesome the Smallfly looks. Every knife i own i give it some EDC time and i dont buy knives to have them sit in the box. Do you all think that this could be a knife that could get some pocket time?

I know they are discontinued but i have a chance to get a digicam version for a good price. What do you guys think? And what is generally the overall impression of these knives? I dont know alot about their balis.

    Thanks in advance

PS i know how to use them, i owned a pretty sweet butterfly knife a while ago and lost it. I used to love flippin that thing around!

I have 2 smallfly balisongs and I think they make a great edc blade . They are the perfect size , have a great blade shape , pretty ergonomic in my opinion , and let's face it they are fun to play with. Get one you won't regret it !

To be completely honest I found that the SmallFly is a bit cumbersome for EDC. The knife itself has some great features like the spring loaded locking bar and the shape of the blade (although I don't like the topside swedge for flipping). I have to say though that I am just not partial to balisong as actual users in the EDC role in general. But hey, everybody is different and if you want to rock a balisong as an EDC knife then hey do what you do man. I just think these knives are best as beginner flippers and collectibles.

Here is a pic of my current knife for EDC.

I love the look of the Smallfly, very cool. Just wish I could find one in Tokyo.

They mostly run sprints on balis because of US law and ICE.

I got my blue smallfly a couple of days ago, and it's definitely going into my rotation! I'm having a great time flipping it and its small enough that I can carry it comfortably. The blade is a bit different than what I'm used to as I carry only ffg knives, but still does a good job at edc stuff. The grip is comfortable and playing with it is just plain addictive! Plus I agree - it looks great!
