    Manix 2 xl mods/custom g10 scales?

does anyone have custom colored G10 scales for your manix 2 xl or know where to buy them? i would prefer no duracoat because it coats over the g10 which affects its texture.

also anyone have some sweet custom mods for a manix 2 xl/manix 2

You could also try Cuscadi, though after the Euro conversion Thumbz will probably be more affordable.

TuffThumbz is getting my Manix 2XL, next week. I bought it just to send it out to him after seeing how cool his work was and then calling him from his cell he has listed on his site. I asked him what Spyderco knives he liked to work on and Manix's were one of his choices. He makes a ton of people happy with his work and from talking to him he really sounds like he's got a passion for this more than just a talent that can make him some cash.

It's dependent on what materials you want, you should call him for pricing. I'm having him use two different materials for the handles, and some side work so it's going to be more expensive than the norm. He answers his phone, emails and txts right away tho. Shoot him a message and he'll give you a quote.

A little late in posting, but I just bought a Manix 2 XL...

Pulled out the spring on mine and compressed it in a vise overnight. That helped a lot. Still didn't like the stiffness, so I changed out the spring. Tension is similar to an Axis now.

Installed a Silicone Nitride ball, tapered and polished the tip of the spring perch on the polymer cage, and used three light compression springs wound together as one, to replace the heavy stock spring. The Manix is now quite flippable without touching the lock and the release studs can be activated with either the index finger or thumb. It still has a bias toward closure.
    Yes, the warranty is voided!
