Who is credited with the design of the SPOT? It also looks like some of Mons. Perrin's designs.

    Three hours later:

Spyderco FB08BMP SPOT neck knife. Circa 2002, made in Japan. S.P.O.T. is an acronym for Self Protection Option Tool. Designed by Sal Glesser, its shape and size are inspired by the French knife designer Fred Perrin.

Looks like I answered my own question...

The seller has got some humor, though; ' Bead blasted finish with wheel mark accents'... Great!
