A man eating another man's face.
A father who abandoned his child because she had low grades....
A man killing, chopping, eating and sending parts of his victims to political parties (IT HAPPENED 10 MINUTES FROM MY HOME)...

    I know. I can't believe it either.

I have wondered how long this stuff has been going on but we didnt' hear about it until the past few years with the increase in technology and communication. It used to be that info could be censored on TV and radio. Now anyone can put anything on the inet. I'm sure there have been tons of murders we never heard about that now we do but hopefully the face eating will be few and far between. Also, they attributed that incident to a new version of LSD. I also think anyone caught selling it to someone who does something like that or murders someone they will be charged with a lot more than selling drugs.

I find the mother's (of the face-eater) comments almost as disturbing...almost. She is going after the police for shooting her son. Basically saying that they could have used a taser or just shot him in the leg! Yep, it's their fault. No remorse to the victim...give me a break. Get a clue lady. Your son ate someones face! Hell, he growled at the police after he had been shot!

The sad reality is, this is just the stuff we hear about. There's plenty more screwed up stuff that the media just can't cover because they only have so much air time.

Definitely a good reason for carrying a firearm with a large caliber hollow-point for self defense.

A .357 Magnum semi-jacket hollow-point up to at least a .45 ACP full-jacket hollow-point should give you the firepower to put such a dude down. And, if that didn't finish him off, at least it'll give you a chance to get the hell outta there!

I ask myself this question daily now it seems. Everything gets out thru the media
network these days, but it still seems like an increase in outside the box type
activities (that's as nice as I could word some of the things that happen these days)

Honestly, that why I carry a gun, knives, etc and why my cars, trucks and home has
been modified thru the past few years to be more self defense orientated.

I drive a truck and used to leave tools, shovel, boots or whatever in the bed and not
worry about it. Once while I was in Sam's for just a few minutes, someone tried to
take a sheet of plywood out of the back. I have has gas and a shovel or two taken
as well. I learned the hard way that you can't trust anyone anymore. Too sad.

I agree with you. We are certainly in sad times these days. Just two days ago (on Sunday morning), our little podunk town experienced the terror of a high-speed police chase after a meth-head shot a man over a drug deal gone wrong. After a manhunt that lasted nearly 48 hours, the police finally caught up with the crook and took him into custody. The scariest part is that the chase took place a mere 10 minutes from our house. According to the newspaper today, the crook has a serious criminal history that spans nearly two decades. Wow. And here’s the kicker: the crook’s father was the getaway driver. Wow. Really? Just a chip off the old block, I suppose…

Too many movies...too little brainpower to tell the moral difference between fantasy and reality in the world now. Its up 2 the individual to act like a decent human being and live accordingly.--- mark
