    CF Military M390 ENROUTE!!

I made a trade, and got a CF Military M390 enroute to my door. Tracking says it should be here tomorrow. I can't wait!!

I have a Franken Para 2 with gray scales and M390 blade. And, I LOVE the way the blade cuts and holds an edge. Great steel! I'm really looking forward to the Military. I'll try to post pics when I get back from my trip to West Texas, which I'll be leaving on as soon as the knife arrives tomorrow. I'll be back next Thursday, with some pics.
    Thanks,

    Marty

One question. Is it sacrilege to use such a fine knife? I don't think I can help myself. I love using knives, especially NICE ones!!!
    Thanks,

I think it is certainly fair to use it, and I'm sure the knife and its maker appreciate it being used more than if you just put it in a drawer and left it. If I bought one I would use it, but I would not be able to pay inflated prices for one like they are going for right now. OTOH I bought the M390 Para 2 and immediately put it in my pocket to carry before I had time to think about it and second guess myself.

The Military was made to be used. I know how you feel about though. You don't
have to use it for "rough" cutting, but I'd carry and use it if it were me. Carry
another one in case you have to cut through some barbed wire.

Well, I may get a chance to use her pretty soon after she gets here. I'll be headed up to a ranch in the Panhandle of Texas, South of Lubbock. I gotta do some visiting with family up there. But, after that I have 4 days of Aoudad sheep hunting and hog hunting I'll be doing. I'll be hunting in the caprock country just South of Post, TX. I haven't used any of my Spyderco's for skinning and quartering yet. It will be interesting to see how they do. I'm sure I'll be pleased.
    Thanks,

    Marty

The Millie M390 is such a great knife I'm sure you'll enjoy it. What did you trade it for?
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

She's here! She's here! WOW! I never thought the Military would be this light in weight! NICE. A big blade, light weight, sharp, great steel, great handle scales, perfect lockup, perfect centering. Absolutely the nicest blade I own. I like this one very much. All I have time for is a cell phone pic guy's. My camera is packed already. And, in a few minutes I will be on my way to Post, TX. Friday is my nieces graduation, Saturday my sister gets married(again), and then it's 4 days of Aoudad sheep, coyote, and hog hunting in the caprock country South of Post. If I'm lucky, the new girl will get a work out in the dusty West Texas rough country. I'll be taking some better pics, and will post up when I get back.

    Thanks,

    Marty

It's a great knife. I use mine all the time, carefully no doubt but I still use it.

M390 is incredible steel, once you get used to that big blade the smaller ones will never seem as good.

The CF M390 Millie is my current EDC. It has pushed all the other blades out of my pockets and I am a huge Para2 fan. There's just something about the feel of the CF M390 that wont let me put it down. Hope you enjoy yours as much or more.
