Overall, I like his reviews. Very thorough. Some of his table top reviews are a bit long though. Generally though, I enjoy his vids.

As much as I have dogged on the guy in the past, I think he's alright. He has a big following. In the grand scheme of things I think he's a good guy. Hey, he likes guns, knives, and a TON of the same gear we all like too. His reviews are long but they are good.

All in all, I would say he has WAY more plusses than minuses.

I'm sure he looks good dressed up in a sheep costume.

His SHOT show videos this year were short.

Haarspalter brings up a good point. In general, I find mrDagon007's knife reviews much more analytical and informative, but Nut-Nut's goofiness and enthusiasm can be infectious and more fun to watch. Sometimes.

Mostly, I am not on the same page as he is with knife reviews. He is a gun guy, and gun guys look at knives differently then knife guys/gals do. Light weight/ cheap/ and the scourge of knifedom... JIMPING!!!

That being said, I like his gun and gear reviews. The level of professionalism in production is nice. His reviews are too long. No review should be longer than 3 minutes.

Light weight is understandable as he actually backpacks into the wilderness. I wouldn't say he looks at knives like guns as far as cheap/light weight. There is nothing cheap about guns....especially as a collector/hobbyist.

He knows what he is talking about and really tests his knives. The quality of his videos is good.

Look here, when they say soft, I mean this is soft. Can you spell soft. This is one of
the best sheep costumes that I have EVER wore. The guys at SHEEPS R US have
got it going on. Did I say how soft this is. It is off the chain soft. Look at this in the
light and how the softness reflects the light. S O F T.

I was referring to "gun guys" as having particular interests and likes/dislikes regarding knives. They tend to love Cold Steel and SOG products (at least from what I have seen hanging out in gun shops). Gun guys tend to see knives as secondary tools, and adjust their reviews accordingly.

Knife folks are willing to spend more, carry more weight and bulk than backpackers/hunters, or gun guys think it practical.

Having been into production cutlery since the late 1980's, I would hazard a guess I know way more about the subject than he does, and frankly know I do. And likewise he knows more about guns than I do.

Yet the point should be taken, as a reviewer, he reviews knives from what he likes and wants in a knife. IMHO, a "reviewer" should review gear on its own merit. Is a ZT 300 too heavy and bulky for EDC? Should a knife be dismissed because it weighs more than 3 ounces and costs more than $35? For him maybe, for me no.

I am not saying he is bad knife reviewer, there are better however. And until he can see value in a knife that does not have value for him he will remain as such.

When I want a knife review, I want one from someone who eats/sleeps/and dreams about knives. This is not him.

You hit it right on the head Mark.

I think Nutnfancy is a decent reviewer of gear in general. Perhaps a bit long-winded and pushy with opinions rather than seeing both sides of the coin.

When it comes to knives I find more holes in this logic than the other gear I know less about. Something specified like Spyderco knives even more holes. That isn't a knock to him or saying people who appreciate his reviews are n00bs. It's just the more you specialize the more generalists seem exactly that.

Nutnfancy and most reviewers are entertainers. They do educate but I learn 10 times more at the SHOT Show interviews with the Glessers and Ed Schempp.

I watch most internet knife reviews to see the knife in the hand. I got nothing against NF at all, and more power to the guy. I do watch some of this stuff from time to time but it is a bit long to watch the whole thing.

Now if we could just get Jenna Marbles to do knife reviews...
