    navy seals preferred folder

So I was watching the Discovery Channel Deadliest Warrior episode featuring Navy Seals & Spetsnaz and was surprised to see the knife of choice for the Seals was a cold steel recon1 tanto.

This sorta spiked my curiosity on whether any Military uses a Spyderco
Product as their chosen knife. I mean officially. Anyone know?

That show show is for entertainment not information and isn't on the Discovery channel. Anyways the Military doesn't issue any particular knife. Certain knives have been commissioned or developed with Military input like the Jumpmaster.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

And I do believe the SEAL's can carry what ever they want. Saw that episode before and I doubt the knife of choice for a SEAL for combat would be a folder, I know I wouldn't.

Naval pilots are issued the Pacific Salt, 82nd airborne, the Jumpmaster, Israeli "Seals" the Warrior. The new Perrin Bowie run is for the US military.

I'm not sure which type, but team 5 seems to prefer the serrated edge:

Thanks for them comments. I am getting better feedback than I expected.

I think I will ask my office if they will consider placing an order with Spyderco for the FRN Delica. We currently have a lot of SAKs in circulation.
