    RIP Junior

Depression can affect anyone in our world, even athletes
such as Junior Seau. My condolences to his Mom, family
and friends. Not sure of all of the details, so depression itself
may not be the over riding cause, but it still has a hold on
a person's mind when you're contemplating taking your own
    life. RIP Junior

He was one of my favorite players growing up. I loved him at San Diego and still cheered despite becoming a Dolphin and later a Patriot.

The things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. People are good; honor, courage, virtue mean everything; power and money mean nothing; good always triumphs over evil; true love never dies. A man should believe in those things, because they are worth believing in.

    Condolences to his loved ones.

A bit disgusting the way the major news networks covered his suicide by blatantly imply that football is too violent, and that's likely why he killed himself. Just plain classless when folks use a tragedy such as this one to promote an agenda.

Nicely said, Bal. He was one guy that I truly enjoyed watching play the game. He left it all on the field, a true champion of the game.

When I first read about Junior's death, I was shocked. Then when I read it was a suicide, I was even more shocked.

I've watched this man play FOR the game and FOR the fans (a quality a lot of professional athletes ought to take into consideration), and I've watched Junior be inspirational to his fellow players, no matter what uniform he was wearing. Guess I find it hard to believe that he'd take his own life. I'm not saying something didn't happen along the way to cause even the strongest amongst humans to become vulnerable to the effects of something like depression, but it still surprises me.

Good, honest to God professional football players like Junior are too far and too between these days. Too many of these players play for the love of money and prestige... not Junior... he played for his family, he played for the game, he played for the fans, and he played to win!

Best wishes, Junior, on your new adventure, and best wishes to your family, friends, and fans! You will be missed!
