    The Spyderco Store

Just wanted to give good props to The Spyderco Store. Tbh, I had never heard of them until I received a GC as a present a while back. Anyways, ordered on Saturday, and they got it here today. Pretty impressive. Pretty good prices, everything went A ok. Will do business again for sure.

Thumbs up SFO is a good source for Spyderco stuff

I actually just recently got a good deal on 2 of the Sharpening tools from SFO. About 3 months ago I got the Duckfoot and the Goldenstone from SFO>> the service was great, the price was reasonable and the shipping was very fast.

I know you can shop around and save money sometimes by checking out other dealers and other sources but I find SFO so dependable that depending on what I want I just go ahead and get it at SFO for the dependability aspect if nothing else.

I'm working up an order to get from them now>> I'm getting a new clip for a Captain model and some other sharpening equipment from them as well. They are always courteous, patient and usually go out of their way to see that I get what I want. And they usually always have the spare parts I'm looking for.

I don't get everything there but I do business with them on a pretty steady basis

Never dealt with them and probably never will because I think there's something inherently deceptive about a business using that name.

SFO and "thespydercostore.com" are not the same thing. The Spyderco Store web site is just another reseller just like any other (CS, Howe's, etc.). I originally thought they were part of the Spyderco company based on the name but that's not the case. I'm pretty sure I'm right about that. I think it is a great site so far. But if you order from them you are not actually getting anything from the SFO. I just looked at the Jester on the Spyderco on-line catalog and the price is $99.95. The price on "thespydercostore.com" is $63.95, about the same as you see on the other sites. They have a coupel of things I haven't seen elsewhere like being able to look up Spyderco knives by blade length. That is a VERY useful tool when looking for a knife. Thespydercostore.com is in my list of favorite sites to look at when I'm looking into getting a knife for price comparison. Their performance in other areas is good IMO.

I'm sorry I didnt' read it carefully>> NO I've not done business with this "Spyderco STore">> NO I thought you were giving a plug to SFO who I really do like and have used several times. No I don't know anything about this "SPYDERCO STORE">> I agree with Deac that something doesn't pass the "smell test" for them to use Spyderco's name like they have. I wasn't even aware of them until you corrected me.

No woodshed this time but oooohhhh the next time.

I have bought a couple of accessories from the SFO and they have been good to deal with (as always). Human nature dictates that we love to complain. SFO never gives us any reason to.

Anyways, my new Manix XL is pretty nice, this is my first Manix of any kind. What a beast this thing is! The Byrd for the price seems very nice also, I have both here at work today so I'll get to mess with them. Cheers

Agreed. There was another ebay-based shop that had a similar business strategy.

I checked with the purchaser of the GC. This person is a non-knife person. They indeed thought they were purchasing directly from Spyderco. So yes Deacons and the others point is very valid.

Just butchered my EggMcmuffin with the XL.

Well it's usually a green label Santiago's breakfast burrito. Man, those things are fiery and fantastic! You gotta try one if you haven't. They sold all over out here.

Question is--- do yOu get the half&half or hot green chile? I usually get the hot! I tried extra hot a couple times and it is almost too hot to finish the burrito!

They did me right. I was panicked that I wouldn't get an orange Dodo since I pre-ordered so late. I saw on the forum that they had some in stock. I contacted them to be sure, had the Dodo with in 2 days. Brand new no pre-order. I cancelled my pre-order with Knife Center. Great communication, excellent price (a few dollars cheaper than KC with shipping), super shipping. I highly recommend.
