    What should I buy next?

Already have a Bug, Tenacious and a Ladybug, with a Native on it's way. Ladybug goes with my keys, Tenacious usually in my bag, sometimes in my pocket. Tenacious feels a bit uncomfortable to carry at times, and while I bought the Native because I liked how it looked, I'm not sure how I'll feel about it as an EDC in my pocket or IWB. For one thing, can't find anything on how thick it is, which seems to be the key to having a comfortable carrying experience, and it appears to be thicker than the Tenacious. Will probably end up in one of my bags. Can't have too many blades in your bags. So, been looking at the Dragonfly 2 and the Delica for pocket carry. Like how both of them look. Very fond of the wire clip on the Dragonfly 2. Like that the Delica is about 50 grams lighter than my Tenacious. Which one should I spend my money on? I can afford one, no more than $100 . Other suggestions considered. Slender and low weight are what I'm looking for. For no more than $100.

If you want slender and low weight-----Sage 1 or Caly 3

You can get a Delica and a Dragonfly both for <$100 as well!

PM2 is great, but it sounds like you may think that is too big.

And Amazon won't ship it to Sweden .

I had some buyers remorse before, not because the knives were bad, or expensive, but because I expected too much. For 100 USD the Para exceeded my expectations by far. I`d pay 200+ for one, they are that good. It is not too big, it only gets smaller and smaler every time I pocket it.

I'd say go for the Dragonfly. The Delica is just slightly smaller than the tenacious, although it may be slimmer (I haven't actually gotten to handle the Tenacious line yet). The Dragonfly is a considerable step down in terms of size, yet quite a capable cutter from what I hear. The ZDP Dragonfly will be my next spydie.

There are so many great choices. One that shouldn't be overlooked is the Gayle Bradley. You may not be impressed with it from the picture or description. I wasn't. But holding and using one does the trick. I have held a Para2 (didn't use it, wasn't mine) and it's really nice and definately one to be looked into. The GB is a beautiful gentleman's knife in the package of a tank. The blade is a little longer than I prefer for EDC but I can easily live with it. The Sage1 is another of my favorites. I just got the Sage4 and it is another favorite for now but it's still new. It hasn't passed the six month test. If you want a little smaller, Chaparral is a great choice.

These are a little higher than you want to spend right now. I wanted to mention the GB then got long winded. I believe you should get the Dragonfly. You have a Native (GREAT knife) on the way so a Delica is about the same size. To have something a little different I'd go with the D'fly. I don't have one but I've never heard anyone say they didn't like it. Or, you may consider a Jester or Manbug if you like small knives. The Jester is a great little knife and a sprint run. There will only be 600 Jesters with gray G-10 handles. That's really no big deal but kinda cool. The Manbug comes in two models with different features and prices. I'm still thinking D'fly though. For something a little bigger, Stretch w/VG-10.

PS: One thing I didn't mention about the GB is the blade steel. CPM-M4, VERY nice. Long edge retention, no chipping and easy enough to sharpen.

I love the Sage 3 I just picked up. It is leaps better than my other knives listed in my sig. It is amazing what a little more money can get you over the delica. Don't get me wrong though the Delica is a nice knife for the price, but for $40 more the sage is a great knife. Plus Cutlery Shoppe has free shipping over $100 if you use the nutnfancy code.

The sage series is a little wide though. If you wanting something more narrow than the tenacious, the Centofante 3 is a nice light thin knife. I love mine. It is a tad longer but the same width of a Delica and I believe it is a lighter as well. I think this knife gets over looked a lot.

I've been overlooking the Centofante3 for a long time. It's been on my "wish list" and moved up and down on it. At about the same size as a Delica it has a more "standard" shape blade. I may end up with one but I'll keep overlooking it for now but if I was wanting a knife in that size for EDC i'd get one before another Delica. In fact you've gotten me thinking about one. Dang you!

Check out the Centofante 3. It's slightly larger than the Delica 4 but is still very slim and lightweight for a knife this size. While I love my Delicas I also totally dig my Centofante 4 (same as the 3 only with a Wharncliffe blade). The Cento looks more classy than the Delica and the Native, IMO.

In your line-up a Dragonfly might make a lot of sense. It's a small, lightweight knife but very capable of handling most common EDC tasks. For water related tasks there's also the D'fly Salt, which not only looks cool with the yellow handles but also pretty much never rusts, no matter what.

From an ergonomics point of view the Squeak is also a great knife is the UK Penknife. Both are non-locking models - which some people object to - but they are slim, lightweight and pretty much disappear in your pocket.

Have you checked international ebay listings for prices and knives yet? I know, it would be cooler to shop at real knife retailers but some of them don't even ship international or if they do they usually charge hefty shipping costs. And I refuse to pay 30$ shipping cost on a 70$ knife. And buying Spydies locally here in Germany is SO expensive! My Manix 2 Lightweight goes for 100 to 120 EUR here. Via ebay I paid only 85 EUR (import VAT included). You should be able to get a Delica AND a Dragonfly (even the Salt) for 80 to 90 EUR plus shipping, which usually is about 3 to 5 EUR per piece. You can even save on shipping if you buy from the same seller.
She: Did you say pink sprint run?! - He: Yeah. - She: Wow, wouldn't this go great with my purple Delica?! - He: ? -

Delica 4 FFG purple ::: Dragonfly Salt Yellow SE ::: Ladybug Foliage Green PE ::: UK Penknife Safety Orange G-10 ::: Byrd Robin G-10 PE ::: Delica 4 FFG pink - modded to non-locking ::: Squeak ::: Grasshopper ::: Kiwi - got snagged by the husband ::: Endura 4 FFG Orange ::: Delica ZDP-189 ::: Centofante 4 ::: Byrd Tern ::: Manix 2 Blue Lightweight

Glad you got one. Congrats. Keep the tip away from you. It will try to poke you. Definately a great knife.

Been walking around town, knife in front pocket, clearly visible, and now I'm at a public computer. No one's said a word yet .
Trying to change how people view carrying knives here. I'm always polite, patient, reasonably well dressed, calm. I hope I'm making a difference .
(to explain, what I'm doing is perfectly legal, just often frowned upon as "uncivilized", atleast when the issue is brought up)

Moras and SAKs are probably the two most popular knives here I guess. Moras are associated mostly with craftsmen and outdoors people, while SAKs are simply clever little tools. Matter of habit I'm guessing. People are used to seeing construction workers with a Mora clipped to their workpants, or Regular Office Guy with an SAK in his bag or pocket, thus those knives are normal. Everything else deviates from normality. People don't really like having their world changed, no matter how small the change.

Generally I've experienced more people started at the opening of one-handed folders than the fact they are being carried. Not all, but most.

The guy I bought my Native from does have a Paramilitary for sale...way cheaper than what the stores charge here too. I'll probably buy either that, or the Pacific he's also offering for sale...
