    Best Folder Under $100

So I'm looking at getting a new knife for EDC purposes but don't know what to get? Looking for anything under $100.

You can get a Manix 2 and have about $25-30 change left over. Or you can get a Para 2 and have about $2 change left over.

There are some great choices, from Delic and Endura to the Manix2 etc. What do you do for a living, what might you cut in your average day to day life, would you like G10 or FRN? It might narrow down the list a bit.

Last time I looked you could get a Para-Military 2 from the Cutlery Shoppe for just under $100. I think it would complement the other knives you own......it would provide you with an EDC size knife with heavy duty characteristics. My other suggestion would be either a ZDP Endura or Stretch. Both have a very high performance blade steel.

Hi there. I'm looking for EDC too.
I'm short of money, so I'm also looking for something cheaper than $100.
    Anyone has a suggestion?

Endura in VG10. I've carried one since 92, upgrading when new models came out. I love ZDP but I prefer VG10 in my everyday EDC.

Delica if the laws don't allow the longer blades. Both with the new FFG blades. They are amazing knives.

Assuming it's legal carry where you live, the VG-10 Stretch would be my top choice. It's an excellent slicer with great ergos and it doesn't take up a lot of room in your pocket.

These are all great suggestions, the cf Sage 1 should also be considered. It is a great EDC . Haven't looked lately but they were $87 delivered on Amazon a while back.

Go to cutleryshoppe.com. Under brands select Spyderco. Then select "folding and pocket knives". After that search appears click on "$50-$100. This will give you a list of knives in that price range that CS has in stock or will have if they are on back order. I did this and saw a lot of choices I hadn't considered off the top of my head. There wer 65 knives listed.

Another nice way to search is by blade length. "TheSpydercoStore.com" has that option. I wish more sites had this but one site with the feature is enough. I get the results and then shop around for my picks. The Spyderco Store is a nice place to shop but the prices are higher than most.

My first thoughts are a Delica4 or Native Lightweight. Both are great knives about the same size with different looks and a different feel in your hand. I've never touched on but the Centofante looks nice also. Very capable size and friendly looking also. I've heard good things about it also.

PS I always recommend a Gayle Bradley even when it doesn't fit into someone's search criteria. It's a great knife so even though you may not get it next (or ever) I suggest you look at it. It's a georgous, hard use folder.

Did you mean to ask what's the best Spyderco folder under $100?

Just pick one you like. They're all good.

Strictly under $100 I would go for Para2, but if I will be able to shell out an extra $12, I would choose Caly3.5 or Native5

Nice replies, but we really need more info from the OP. What kind of knife do you want to EDC. Personally, I prefer smaller knives - almost nothing much over 3". So I would say Chaparral, Dragonfly (+/- ZDP or G-10), even Cricket. Preferred size, use, handle preference (FRN, G-10, CF etc) would all help narrow a very large field.

i agree more info is needed, but based on the signature of the OP

    "Brown FFG Delica 4|Centofante 3|Sage 1|Persistence"

my guess is they are looking for a larger EDC blade-----but of course without further clarification, it is only a guess

I like the serrated Endura and it only costs out 1/2 the amount of what you are looking at the staying under. The blade design (fully serrated) is not conducive to everyday chores, but would be nasty as a self-defense tool. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm looking more towards a larger EDC blade like any of the ones mentioned above. I'd mostly use it for cutting cardboard and plastic zip ties and maybe a little bit of food prep.

    Delica, Endura, Sage 1, Para2, Stretch VG10, Manix2 (or M2 Lightweight).

Hard to go wrong with those. The Sage1 is pure class though for the price.
