Looking for specific qualities in a knife

Hi, guys. I'm looking for a tough, small, truly pocketable knife. Something I can use and abuse and the knife will take it and ask for more. If there's a spyderco that fits the bill, great, but I'm open to others, too. I guess what I'm looking for is a Manix 2 or Gayle Bradely on a smaller scale, something that really fits in the pocket. Something with a tip that doesn't look like it will snap off if you look at it the wrong way.

The SOG mini vulcan looks kinda good, but I'm ambivalent about SOG. The SOG bluto is kind of what I had in mind, too, but that doesn't seem to be a well-built knife.

I like the Benchmade mini onslaught, too, but I think the "mini" is still too big to edc.

    I want a mini Buck/Tops CSAR-t ATSf 34.

Is an Al Mar SLB what I'm looking for? A Spydie Cat, Chicago, or some other little big knife?

Thoughts, suggestions? Any Spydies that fit the bill? Besides all of them, I mean? Thanks for any input

Okay, I see some views, but no responses yet.

What about the D'Fly with foliage green g10 handle? Hmm, I may be on to something here....

Still looking for your input, guys. Thanks for reading.

What kind of abuse are you thinking?

The Squeak has a 3mm thick blade. I think the blade will handle some beating. The rest of the knife might not handle a beating too well, but for the price I think it is worth a shot.

Only thing I'd be worried about is how big of a knife you're looking for. If you're going to do some serious cutting, a longer blade might prove to be very helpful.

You know, I'm not even exactly sure what I mean by a beating. I just want something I can use for years and give the knife some "character." I would love to carry a GB around with me, but it's just not practical in the urban environment I live in. Also, I don't want to limp around with something that heavy in my pocket. Which is why I'm on the lookout for a pocket-sized GB. I have the feeling there's an obvious answer, but I just don't see it.

The Squeak is a slipit, isn't it? Not necessarily a deal breaker for me. I'll take a look, thanks.

CRKT Stubby Folding Razel. Liners are like twice as thick as my Gayle Bradley. Granted the F&F isn't as good, but for $30, I don't think you can get a tougher knife. Probably not for double that.

Or the Boker Anso Albatross, Spyderco Techno or Benchmade 755 MPR.

You could get the Albatross and the Razel for the price of either of the others though...

yeah, I like that techno, but you're right about the price. Zoiks! That goes for the benchmade, too.

Here's some more input on what I'm looking for, if anyone is still reading or cares. I have a Jester, which I love, but I would love it a bit more if was just a wee bit bigger.

Is a Spydie Delica too small? If not, look for one with the Saber grind as it is thicker and should handle heavy use. The FFG model will handle well too but it is a thinner blade. The Delica is a light knife.

Prob a Leafstorm or upcoming Techno. The Air won't be a tank but it is M4.

Another brand would be the BM 755 MPR.

Hey, guys, thanks for all the responses. For some reason, I couldn't sign on to the forum earlier at work---probably for the best---so I couldn't express my appreciation for your input earlier. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.
