You will probably smile when reading this. With all the new Spydies that are coming out now, I went and ordered the following.

H1 Dragonfly
Squeak
2x Ultra Fine Rods for the SM.

I have been putting off buying these for so long, finally decided to go ahead and place the order.

The rods are for the SM. The blades will compliment whichever larger blade I have that day. I can't wait till they arrive.

I am waiting for my sage 1 in the mail. It will arrive tomorrow! Why did I wait so long to order this pretty flower?? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the sage 2 now. Dang it.....why did I buy the sage 3 first...at all?! Mistakes are made. Spyderco makes you justify or correct them with new orders. Ha. Are we all not trying to play catch up on here?

Minus the Squeak...I did the same thing. Ordered the Sharpmaker Ultra's two weeks ago, the Dragonfly H-1 Sunday, & a Dragonfly zdp-189 today. (already had the vg-10 & g-10) Getting the Ultra Fine rods was a great investment! And of course I'm gonna dig the Dragonfly's...a LOT ! So will you !

It's not that stale as I just saw that it was unweiled at the Amsterdam Meet in 2011.

The Dragonfly seems to have had a makeover after 20 years with this H1 version.

I suppose the longer they have been around, the better they will be, unlike bread

I am actually finding it pretty hard to keep up with Spyderco and the prices are going up day by day. Dont know if Mr Glesser has any vacancies for Asian knife fanatics in Golden.

Good for you on the Sage collection. I am not turning that page when glancing through the catalog as it's all a tad outside my budget now. It's a mistake that may one day be corrected. Lets see.

Just to say that I got the two blades and the UF rods today. Just luv em. The Dragonfly H1 is going to go places with me.

The seller gave me the wrong USPS tracking number and was not helpful in getting to me the correct number. Still, am happy that it came through all right.

I have a Sage1 but not the 2 or 3. Neither of those two struck my fancy very hard and I can't comment on using them. I got a Sage4 about 3 weeks ago and would like to recommend it if you are thinking about another Sage. The lock is not much of a deciding factor for me when choosing a knife. It's the other things. How it feels in hand when using, blade steel (performance), appearance, etc. The ONLY thing about the lock that IS IMPORTANT to me is that it is strong and reliable. Releasing it is just something we have to get used to depending on the lock. The Sage4 is beautiful but not loud, just like the Sage1. IMO the Sage4 is the perfect knife in the Sage line. Maybe it's just the weight but the Sage4 seems much more solid than the Sage1. Would I sell my Sage1 to get a Sage4? That's a tought one, but I would consider it. I'd probably wait and save the money for a Sage4 instead of letting the Sage1 go. The only thing some could definately dislike about the Sage4 is the additional weight. I can see that but it doesn't bother me. If you don't care much for the Sage3, let it go maybe, unless you want all of them in time. Just a thought. I'm not a collector and it bugs me to have knives I don't ever use. I've sold several great knives just because every day I just chose something else to carry. I sold my blue Stretch (ZDP) because I didn't carry it. I don't know why I didn't. For me that's the perfect example of letting a great knife go even though I couldn't find anything in the world wrong with it and lots of things I liked about it. I've wanted to replace it many times.

All I wanted to do was mention the Sage4. Got long winded, sorry.

Well my Dragonfly and Squeak will take turns as my secondary EDC blade alongside one larger blade. I am very happy to let my Fury money clip knife go now I have these two Spydies.

I like my little knives light and my big blades heavy. Looked at the Sage series a few times but always passed em up. Maybe someday.
