Like that Starmate and it has my favourite clip. I wonder if the production model will have the medalion inlay? I think it really needs to have that included. Either way this one's on the list.

GP Knives. They typically post their pre-orders very early, but at least you can get on the list. Unfortunately Jeff @ Cutlery Shoppe doesn't allow us to pre-order many knives. The last one I pre-ordered from them was the FRCP Manix in June of 2011. It didn't ship until the day before Christmas. Others had their blades weeks before I even got the notification that my card had been charged. OK, getting off my soapbox, they were really nice to deal with on the phone and have very competitive pricing.
My's:
Native, Manix 2 (BD1, 154CM, S30V, M4, BD30P, XHP), Delica 4 (White, Red, Brown, Blue, BRG, G-10), Spyderhawk, D'fly G-10, Resiliance, Police 3, Volpe, Millie (S30V, XHP, D2), Superleaf, Forager, CPM-D2 Para, BRG Stretch, Caly 3.5-SB, Delica 3, Para-2 (XHP, 204P), SS Stretch, Rescue, Dyad Jr, Pingo, Caly Jr's, Caly 3 (CF, SB), Southard, AIR, Tasman, GB, Jess Horns, Rock Lobster
Mules> MT05,08,09,11,12,13,15,16
Pre-ordered >Cruwear Military
Gone for now>S90V-Manix
Functionally, I think the Tuff's dimples will be great but I also wonder if there isn't a more aesthetically pleasing arrangement for the G-10 side.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

The dimples on the Tuff just don't do it for me, which pushed me back over the fence that I was already on.
The Air and the Southard flipper are my must haves, with the Techno tagging behind as a possibility.
Many thanks Wouter, for providing us with so much to look at and forward to.

Thanks xceptnl, it's difficult to buy Spyderco knives here, especially pre-order items; your help is much appreciated.
Just wanted to show my appreciation for all the pictures. Many thanks and I wish you a safe trip!

Thanks for all the great pics! I really want the Streetbowie but I hope they change the steel and handle material.
Thanks Mr Blonde, I enjoyed the show and the eye candy...
The Szabo Folder looks absolutely stunning, but unfortunately I have no use for it whatsoever
I have my eye on the Starmate. I would be really excited to get a spicy ZDP version.

Thanks for all of your hard work and excellent pictures Wouter, we all appreciate it. Awesome work.
The Tuff dimples seem to be a big topic. I agree with some that they look out of place on the G-10 side
and not so bad on the TI. The blade design is awesome, 3V will be the steel so that's good. Just curious
why Ed decided to go with the dimples, other than the grip factor. One prototype had TI or carbon fiber
if I recall. That will take some getting used to. I printed pictures so I can start working it into my dome.
The dimpling looks to be function more than form. It's to lighten the overall knife without putting holes everywhere, yet do it with a bit of flair. To lighten a knife while keeping the strength, and not giving more paths to let grit in seems pretty intelligent to me. This knife is obviously going to be made on a CNC machine so round drilled out holes are an obvious choice. Lasering away all that Titan would leave so many holes in the knife it would look like the R.
The non Ti side doesn't need the dimples but I understand why they would be there.
Just an opinion.
And, as usual thanks Wouter! Superb work again.

Wo, so many great looking new(& new versions of older) blades! Where to start? Iam soo excited or the Starmate & Street Bowie! Those are 2 of my very favorite Spydie designs that I don't own yet. The Techno, Chapparell Stealth, Foundry, & Southard (soooo badass, probably #1 on my list!) are all must haves for me(ouch, my wallet!). I also love the Southfork, though I have a feeling the it will be too pricey for me, unfortunately. My only real gripe is that I loooove the Tuff, been waiting for that one for years. & I hate the new golfball handle texture. It just looks really cheap & cheesy. Sal, please go back to the pointy texture of the last proto! The only bad thing about it is it might shred some pockets, but that is such an easy fix! Just sand or file down the points underneath the clip! It seriously takes 5 minutes, I 've done it on many knives that I own, literally anybody can do it. Anyways, great job as always Wouter, & Spyderco! Many new amazing knives in 2012!
Great photos and thread. Thank you Wouter and others.
Stand-outs to me were the Szabo, Air, Southard, and Foundry.
Techno, Southfork, and Tuff also look really nice. I would also be excited about the Perrin Bowie if I did not have one, which I really like (by the way). The Caly 3 and 3.5 also look great.
This version of the Tuff looks better to me than the previous. I like the dimples! One thing that I am not sure about is the finger-choil area... It looks like an unusual shape to me. It has a lot of unsharpened finger-choil in front of the thumb ramp. With an index finger in the choil, it looks like the thumb would have to ride on the blade spine instead of on the thumb ramp. Maybe this is the idea? Or another grip might be a pinch-grip where the thumb and fingers are on the sides of the handle rather than top & bottom. Very cool-looking and interesting design regardless. I would like to hear more from Ed about the design.
Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. If the dimples were in the blade, yeah I might not like them, but dimples in the handle look nice to me!Not going to preorder one just yet, but will likely end up getting it. I just got my first knife in 3V but only received it yesterday, haven't had a chance to really use it much yet.
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E)
