Still a nice shot. Love how it looks from that side. The lines are just beautiful. It's the first Wharncliffe that I really really want to get.

The Foundry is a nice looking knife. Probably not one for me, but I still like it. So nice and thin, nice blade shape.
I think that the clip placement and not using a deep carry clip should be changed though.

Thanks again for the nice pics. The Dodo looks great! I like the extra cutout on the Air. It seems useful, and looks different and interesting. The cutouts on the lock bar of the Carpenter model are also very interesting (and gives some nice personality to a rather bland looking knife otherwise, IMO).

    Great report so far!

I love the carpenter! Can't wait for it to come out.

For those that have handled it, how did it feel in the hand? The handle looks awfully skinny.

Spyderco 2012 Prototype – Native 5 Fluted Titanium

Another familiar model was the Native 5 with the fluted titanium handle. I still think it looks and handles like a champ. The handle scales also ´replace´ the liners in the G10 model. Although visually it makes the ti scales look thicker, to me at least, I pretty sure the overall thickness is the same as the G10 model. I really like this Native variant and hope it gets made soon.

Thank you for the lovely pictures, Wouter. Another great batch of work.

I was really looking forward to seeing the Native 5 Lightweight design. Other than that, the only other knife that has my attention is the Caly 3 in damascus. But with Wouter's pics I never know when a knife I was never before considering really grabs my attention. I look forward to what else Wouter was able to photograph.

The little fixed blades were really nice, and I'm looking forward to one of them which overall profile was reminiscent of a Native 5. Unfortunately, according to my info, these were still concept models so I can't post those pics.

I like the dent - feels better on the thumb - big difference, plus you can more quickly feel where the lock is. I hope it continues. I have the Chaparral, and the only complaint I have on it is no dent.

I, for one, can wait for Wouter's pics. Better and more thorough.

    - best wishes, Jazz.

That fluted Ti Native is a real beauty. I'm usually not into things that bling that much but that thing is gorgeous. I would love to see that texture machined into G10.

Regarding the Air, being clipless, it would have been great if it had a lanyard hole. This way, you could set it up for carry clipped to the pocket with a suspension clip. As it is, there are very few carry options for this otherwise sweet little knife.

Is it just me, or does the scale material on the Air seem to be slightly transparent? It looks like they are a cloudy, transparent grey with the silver CF layer on the top.
