    Spyderco wrapping paper

I just realized all the Christmas gifts I've wrapped so far involved my para 2 & delica 4 to cut the wrapping paper, I did not even think for a second to grab a pair of scissors. Anyone else do the same?

I used my Delica 4 as well. The VG-10 goes thru wrapping paper like butter. I have not used scissors since grade school. I dont even own a multitool with scissors... its much more exciting to pull a 4" bladed Military to cut a stray thread free from my t-shirt. It may be a bit overkill, but still effective.

I used the knife I had on me for every package I wrapped. It was easier than going to get the scissors. A few years ago I would have had to get scissors because I don't think my knives were sharp enough to easily cut wrapping paper accurately. I remember thinking wrapping paper is hard to cut with a knife because it would always tear and rip. That's because the knife wasn't sharp enough. Now, I can cut straight, around curves, etc. without destroying a piece of wrapping paper. Because I can get my knives sharper now I don't need scissors as much.

Dude, EXACTLY!! I did NOT know what sharp was until I bought a And I'm dead serious lol I don't think many guys out there even know what sharp is either. My friend says stop "wasting" money on knives; I told him to buy ONE Spyderco and feel the difference. I can't wait until I finally convince him to buy one because I bet he'll start buying more and more after that and know exactly what every Spyderco owner goes through!!

Yeah big blades on a stray thread is fun. The other day I pulled out a XL voyager (5 1/2 blade total length is a foot or more) at my mother in laws house to cut open one of those single servings flavored powder for my daughters water bottle and not a single person said a word about how big my knife was, I guess I have to pull out a sword to get a reaction from the people that know me now a days.

I confess, I used scissors. They were already sitting right there with all the wrapping supplies. Actually, it has never even occurred to me to use a pocket knife to cut wrapping paper. Years of old habits and dull blades I guess.

For the time being, all my Spydercos are SE. They work fine on letters and such but haven't tried them on wrapping paper. Based on how little I typically care about how the gifts I wrap end up looking, I'm sure they would work fine. Like gbelleh, I just haven't even thought about it yet. Just wrapped my last gift. Maybe next year I'll use my blue PM2 in M390 (if I have it by then...).

When I first read the title I thought of Christmas(or any other occasion) wrapping paper with the Spyderco Logo throughout the paper.

My orange millie was more that happy to help in the wrapping of many gifts for some happy recipients.

WHOA! Spyderco wrapping paper would be a really good idea! You could wrap the knives in the wrapping paper! And then use your knives to open the new knife! Except it'd be a kind of a giveaway.... but am I the only one who thinks a black wrapping paper with red spydies would be really cool?

I haven't wasted my time with scissors for years. It's way faster to just sail through it with a knife. Be careful not to cut up your carpet though, you can wreck an edge if you press too hard.

That was my first thought as well. Maybe I'll have to design my own.

I use my Spydies all the time to cut wrapping paper. It's much faster than scissors and gives me a valid excuse to actually put my knives to work. I found that my CF Balance makes an excellent knife for this task. It is just the right size for the job and the blade angle makes slicing a breeze.

I have to say about 50% of my wrapping paper was cut with scissors (they were already there and ready to go... and the other 50% was split between my Military and my FFG delica the perfect gift wrap companions. Tried to use my Dragonfly... that was when I realized I had ignored that knife too long... man was it dull

Mostly just out of convenience, lol. No clue where the scissors always go. Same reason I wrapped again this year with Ductape. They looked like hell.
