Every time I see that video I can't help thinking what that hail would have done to my old MGA with its aluminum hood, trunk lid and doors.

On it wouldn't have been good. I worked with a guy who drove a really nice modded out Pontiac Fiero GT, they had a lot of fiberglass panels. We got hit by a hail storm nowhere near as bad as this and it pretty much destroyed his paint.

Come to think of it, a lot of new cars today have aluminum hoods. The hoods on the new Mustangs have been aluminum since '05.

I know that it's stupid, but there is no way that I could have just stood there and not run out there in it. I may be old and wise now, but there is still plenty of young stupidness in me that comes out sometimes.

SEE! I knew i wasn't the only one having that urge no matter how dumb it might sound. Why do kids play in the rain? Well, i was always into the more extreme sports, so you can consider this my version of playing in the rain lol. I'd definitely put a helmet on first though
