    How is "Des" pronounced?

Dess or Dez, or is the s silent?

On the Spyderco web site for the Des Horn, one area says the scales are G10, one says Micarta. Which one is it?

I think I will be waiting on Gayle Bradley's AIR, if it ever comes out for my first wharnnie

Edit: unless peer pressure forces me to get a Yo 2 first...

TBH, I was excited about this one until I read the blade length... Was hoping it would be longer.
Still might get it (and I do understand the rationale behind blade length in a gent's folder) but I'm itching for a nice long wharnie...

I can only imagine length would add width (or height I guess). Similar to the Lum series.

The Yojimbo2 is in the works! it's not huge either but with the lacking popularity of wharnies beggars can't be choosers I guess.

No offense to whoever takes the stock photos for Spyderco, but I would have no interest in this knife based on the picture. Mr Blonde's photos, on the other hand, elicit the exact opposite response: the immediate need to get this knife!

FWIW, Mr Blonde lists the prototype as G-10 (also referred to as G-10 in the "Please select" part of the product page as you noted) and not micarta, as listed in the handle material box and description of the product page. Hopefully someone in the know will chime in and let us know which one is correct since the product page obviously has an error.

I got mine and it is polished G-10 for the scales. The SKU also identifies the material as G-10.
