Yes maa14. I was really surprised because the 3v started having some reflectivity when I was just cleaning up the bevels with the 320 moldmasters. By 400 grit moldmasters it was already kinda mirror. Really surprising. This is the first steel that I have had happen this way.

It's gonna get microbeveled when it's touched up. I was actually pretty surprised at the polish because I heard that 3v doesn't do polish.

Not nearly up to level of some of you guys, but this is the sharpest I have ever gotten a knife on my own.

    Thanks MadRookie.

It definitely feels good to actually make some sharpening progress. The heel needed some more work, but I didn't want to remove that much material this time through. I will get it down the road a bit. Before finishing this one up, the sharpest knife I had was the factory edge on my zdp stretch.

What did you do that with PanChango? That's really excellent.

Thanks Chuck. It was my first try with the Edge Pro Apex. After that I stropped it on my razor strop.

Good first effort but if you are using a slack strop, I suggest getting a strop with hard backing. Slack strops are excellent for razors because they have a stropping guide that will keep the strop at the proper tension.

I would also suggest getting a strop with hard backing. I would also suggest that it be a STROPMAN strop If not, make your own...
