    +1 to Regina!

Looks like there aren't a whole lot of people into the indie rock/pop scene here, so I'm guessing most of you won't have heard of the bands I've been listening to this past week. Bands recently getting playlist love:

    Feist
Margot & the Nuclear So and So's
    Sufjan Stevens
    Low
    Sunset Rubdown
    Why?

I can say that I've been using Spotify a ton over the past month and love being able to listen to hard-to-find albums and artists (at least hard to find in the US). Lots of obscure, but very talented artists -along with all the major groups- are on Spotify and I'm enjoying discovering more stuff to listen to.

Regina is one of the most unique artists out there right now IMO, she does creative and interesting things with her voice and the music she makes. I do listen to a good bit of indie rock. Feist is excellent live, I can't wait for her to come back. Margot &... is pretty good too.

    Tool and more tool.

I've probably listened to every one of their albums 100 times over each. I am anxiously waiting for their next album, which is supposedly coming in 2012. Keeping true that they can make a lord of the rings trilogy before a Tool album is made.

To me, although some who don't listen to them will think they are a little dark, but are actually very spiritual, positive and full of self awareness.

I was going to write about 10 more paragraphs, but I'll just stop here.

I'm really liking her new album and am excited to pick up the CD tomorrow. Looks like she's coming to town next month, so maybe I'll see if I can get some tickets.

I am liking Joss Stone's LP1 recently, mainly the song Newborn.

Today I was listening to Ke$ha's album Animal, she put together a fun/entertaining album. I don't expect her next one to be anywhere near as good to listen to.

I am a music nut and produce a little as a hobby on my Mac using Logic. I have a very eclectic taste in music, though.

Today I ran through some of the following while in my car:

    DJ Krush
    White Zombie
    The Nextmen
    Nine Inch Nails
    Cunninlynguists
    Thievery Corporation
    Pearl Jam
    Pretty Lights
    Rage Against the Machine
    Jedi Mind Tricks
    Smashing Pumpkins
    Emancipator
    Bonobo
    Gravity Kills

    Joss is outstanding.

Her performance of that tune on Craig Ferguson in July was beyond killer...had goose bumps the whole time.

Specific EP's I've been listening to a lot lately are Nightmares On Wax's Carboot Soul and Atmosphere's The Family Sign & Storybook Volume 1

No the late 70's early 80's band that eventually became Dead or Alive (they had that you 'spin me round' song)

    Not musically...just name wise.
