You guys who are into guitar need to check out Animals As Leaders. Two guys playing 8 string guitars and a drummer. No vocals, just so much math metal you'll get a headache trying to keep up.

Album version of "Isolated Incidents" Starts getting intense right at 2 minutes.

I've got their full length as well as their Meyrin Fields EP. It's good stuff.

Now that I've given the new album a few listens, it's growing on me. Still not up to par with their previous releases, but solid nonetheless. I know it's an all new band (with Mercer being the only original "Shin"), but supposedly he fired everyone because they didn't have the technical skill to pull off what he had in mind. I'm not sure what he was talking about, as this album doesn't seem to be any more complex than anything they've done before and certainly isn't a radical departure from their established style.

As for what I'm listening to currently, I just picked up a CD called My Head Is An Animal from an Icelandic band named Of Monsters and Men. It's their first album and is really good. Their music style is very reminiscent of Arcade Fire and Stars. The lead single has a pretty crazy video as well, as you can see below.
