    RGEI knife?

I wonder how this one will work with the p'kal style?

The real question is, "When will the bloody thing finally come out?"

[edit: it finally did come out, apparently.]

It's based upon the original Talon by Kershaw which got some love from Southnarc back in the late 90s. The P'kal is basically the product improved version that came later after some extra work and studying what blade shapes and point positions maximize the thrusting potential as Southnarc utilizes it.

I think that this knife would work great for RGEI and FGEI (my preference) as the slight curve of the blade will work just fine with the curved stabbing motions caused by the default thrusting techniques of these methodologies. I would describe the difference between the two knives as "does my SD methodology just fine and is more usable in day-to-day situations" and "runs SD like a track meet but isn't as good for much else" along with the differences in price points.

I thought the 750 has yet to be released. And your right doc, I do prefer the p'kal by Spyderco. I should have jumped on one for $105 in the exchange.

Thanks Nonprophet, I saw those, they don't tickle my fancy....I have a few makers that will make some nice one's for me...Spoke with Mark Goldsworthy today, Goldsworthy Knives, he will have a few different ones made up for me by the summer, Iron Mountain Custom Knives has a few nice ones that can be made, but I want a different blade config than the ones he makes, but I like their handles. I'm probably gonna have Relentless Knives (Daniel Certo) make me one to my specs....So all is good...Doc

Looks like a fairly decent Biltong or beef jerky knife - good for cutting on the pull stroke
My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades
