    Workin Overtime

Well when it comes to modern day technology, I'm the last person to get on board....My students used to laugh as I was the guy who refused to get a cell phone or even a computer...not that I can use either real good LOL...but I'm a wizard at e-mail...Many know that it took me like five years of being here before I learned to post a picture...(not that they are any good either) LOL...If it has an instruction manual I'm usually not interested....Call me old fashion..I like things ancient....A few years ago my students kept pushing me to get up a web-site for the school...I resisted as long as I could, but now that I got one...I'm thrilled and I get comments on how much people like it every single day. So what is the next step to joining modern civilization...after 30 years of owning the same Kung Fu Center, I freaked the students out cause three weeks ago I finally got credit card acceptance capabilities. They were just a little shocked....then I really outdid myself...I opened an on-line store on the schools web-site. Just a few items...some herbal teas and herbal liniments I make, for healing injuries sustained during training, some self-defense items, (which is a section that's gonna grow) No knives, cause I don't keep enough stock in one particular knife to do any real knife internet business. My old students are thrilled cause they can buy items with a click of the button and have them shipped out to them, or buy it for their relatives without having to stop by the school anymore...so that's cool. I'm working overtime here...LOL...shocking the heck out of people...who knows I might even buy a camera....to use on the Spyderco forum...The on-line store is going to be a fun thing, something new and different for me for sure, that being said I got to hand it to all those that have a retail internet business....it's a lot of work! Working Overtime ...WITH NO END IN SIGHT!!!!...LOL...Doc

Great stuff Doc, I didnt know that you get injured during training thats some scary training, also you could sell knives just list what quantity you have and take them out from the list if there aren't any in stock.

Maybe some training knives would be nice. I've been looking for some lately! Best of luck with your website and store. I would love to visit it. If you could leave me a visitor's msg or PM me that would be nice.

Welcome to the 20th century Doc. Oh wait, 21st century. I don't know anything about martial arts but would like to check out your site. Can I get directions? In modern talk that means "what's the URL?".

    Congratulations on growing,

With your products only a click away, I'm going to have to keep an eye out over my shoulder for what you might come up with next!

Congrats Doc, keep it up. Technology isn't all that scary.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and well wishes...I don't want to break any forum rules by posting a link (read the new rules by Taz about posting links that will take people off the Spyderco site) However if you want to go to my site when you are through here on this one you can find a link in my profile or you can google the name of my school. Dragon Tiger Kung Fu Center, NY....Doc

I don't think it's the Doc that's needing the liniments after his training.

    Thanks Guys:
Donut: My son is the webmaster and Mrs.Snubnose designs the site, (she is a fine artist, and knows how to take a picture) So all the credit goes to them....me... I'm just the lowly instructor....Doc

So where did all the overtime come from? You make it sound like you kicked your feet up in the recliner and the web site poofed. :P
