That would be cool if it held a utility blade. Properly licensed or produced byof course.
It's not a folding knife, and none of Spyderco's sharpening tools have ever featured a round hole, so technically, the trademark issue doesn't come into play. As for the tool itself. From what I read, it works by scraping steel off the blade. That's the same principle used on those carbide V sharpeners most "knife nuts" consider a barbaric way to treat a decent blade.
