What type of blade steel is used for them? I'm new to Spyderco knives. I noticed the knives say Taiwan, some say China; I just bought a Endura that says Japan. Can you get any knife with any blade steel type?
No, you can't. Each plant has steels that they use. A long time ago many of the plants seemed to be using AUS-8 or AUS-6. In the 90's, Golden and Japan were using ATS-34 and ATS-55. Current day, Japan uses VG-10, ZDP-189, H1, and rarely Super Blue or Cobalt Special. USA normally uses CPM S30V and CTS-BD1, but it tests a lot of new steels. Italy normally uses N690Co and Elmax. Taichung, Taiwan normally uses CPM S30V, CPM M4, 440C, and is about to start using CTS-XHP and CTS-204P.
There are a lot of steels that are specific to a model or are done for a while and end up changing. Like 154cm in Golden on the Manix 2, but that has been announced to be changed to CPM S30V. (I haven't seen any CPM S30V pictures yet, but the change is going to happen.)

Thank you Holland.
It looks that way because the CF is matt finish at some angles (as other knives from Seki) and this is also a Caly I've been carrying, even if it doesn't show too much wear I guess it wasn't the cleanest in my gallery at that time...I'm sure this model will still look nice when scratched to the bone before you decide to buff the scales down.
Lums are very unique gents knives, hope you find this smartly dressed!

That's a very nice photo. How long did it take you to set it up?
Thank you Donut. Not using tripod, actually it didn't take more than a few minutes. First I tried some natural light and then I thought about using a little white led lamp to make it "glow". Then it was just a matter of chosing the effect of light trough the hole in the blade:
