That GB rocks, wenge-wood, correct? Very clean job!! I really like the transit from the SS-bolster to the wood, the angle between both materials, kudos!
You made the dent in the liner for the lock-access as well, but thinned out that liners a lot, right?
I also made my own scales on a GB, thinned out the liners as well. However in my GB you can read 'M-M4', in yours 'PM-M4'![]()
But again, wonderful job!

Hello Toomzz. Thanks for the nice comments. I just made the bolsters and wood match the liners, I didn't thin the liners. As you already mentioned, I made the thumb access for the lock bar larger. That was just a personal preference.
Hi LAB, again superb job. I also liked the liner a little bit more open making the Linerlock better accessible. I did it on both my GBs. Especially the green one is of my all time EDC favorite. With a touch of yourself it a knife so much more
(The picture was made before I made the dent in the green one)

Man, those look great! I like the texture job especially.
The green one is peel-ply, the coyote is milled with a sphere-formed little mill.
It is quite easy, you can also do it with a regular drill in a drill-press...

Sure do like those, toomzz.
- best wishes, Jazz.
Thanks Jazz, you know you are responsible for the original idea on your SS delica, remember?
I had search on my computer, but found a few pics how the green one is in actual statusI really love this knife.
I left the backside smooth (long live your jeans) and on the other picture the added (subtle) dent in the handle for easier access...
Enjoy,
T.

I find that the bend in the clip gives you a little grip on that side. The GB is lacking some good curves to provide grip with no texture.
This is my stonewashed Urban. Not to bad for first try. Got the process off the USN forum. For my special rocks I used some crused granite out of my walkway beside the house. My tumbler was a pb jar and that will wear your arm out. Ferric acid was purchased at Radio Shack.

Looks pretty nice. How big were the pieces of granite?
That is VERY cool, would you mind going more in depth about how to do the stonewash part or PM me the info? I'd really like to do something like that on a few of my knives.

The pieces of granite where about thumb size and it only takes a hand full to do the job. Any rocks will do.
Here is the process and it is very simple and works well. Remove blade and other parts that make up the knife.
I got the Ferric chloride solution at Radio Shack, they call it PCB Etchant Solution. It comes in a pint bottle. It is used to etch PC boards. I paid $ 11 plus some change inc. state tax.
Put about a quarter inch of the solution in a plastic or glass bowl and soak parts. They will turn black in about 1 hr. or less. After they turn remove the parts and put in the jar with the lid. Add some liquid dishwashing soap, a little water and the rocks. Close lid and shake the jar. The harder you shake the better. After getting the desired finish remove and wash with water and dry. Then you are ready to put the knife back together and reshapen the blade.
If you don't get the desired results repeat the process again. A water rinse stop the chemical etching process.
Check out the USN Forum section Pimp my knife, Poor man's stone wash. Good pictures and instruction that I followed.
Do be careful with this stuff, don't get it on you and don't drink it. Follow directions on the bottle and you will be ok.
