I really like the spine profile on your Manix. Look just like the bird beak humps on Stretches, DP UKPK's, and the like. Nice work, thanks for sharing.

I don't know why I waited so long to add some mods here, so I'll play catch up.

A few of my re-scale projects:

An old Co-pilot with a busted tip that I rescued:

Nice stuff, araneae. I really like the wide spacing of the jimping you did - looks great! That wee Copilot is cute. Thanks for sharing, my fellow Wharnie fan.

    - best wishes, Jazz.

I forgot to say, I reground an Old Hickory parer to FFG and I can't believe how great it works. That carbon steel has an awesome bite to it. I love it, and it sees a lot of use in the kitchen at work. Nice Nesmuk.

    - best wishes, Jazz.

PPT is a great knife but I donīt like that clip shape, so after filing and sanding it is perfect for me. Also this flat spot what is under clip is hollowed and polished.

Translucent G-10 is usually called G-11. I don't know the history behind it.

Yeah, its a thin one. Regind was done by Marcus Lin, flatgrinder on bladeforums. He did an fantastc job on this. Its going to be hard to see how thin it is due to my lighting, and cell phone camera. But you"ll get the idea.

Geeeeeez...be careful with chipping on that super thin ZDP. I'd definitely reserve that one for delicate slicing. What degree are you sharpening it at?

The Little guy at left is a Spin with a jade G-10 scale I made. The blades are regound on a belt sander and carefully dipped after each pass in an ice bath to preserve heat treat. You have to be really careful on acute tips.

Well I just got in mail a couple days ago, so I havnt had to sharpen it. I really havnt had much of a chance to do anything with it except put the new clip in and try to slice some paper. I say try because it doesn't really slice, it sort of just falls through whatever happens to be in the blades path. Can't say I've ever had something so perfectly suited for matter seperation. Pity I have to sell it.
As far as chipping or being afraid to use it goes, I don't think it will be an issue at all. Its ment for edc tasks and will do fine. As long as the future owner knows what they have and uses it accordingly, it will meet and exceed their needs.

    Orange Aqua Salt

Been a long time since I posted on these forums and a long time since I got a new Spyderco. This is probably the most simple mod I've ever done, Rit dyed orange Aqua Salt.

I'm not sure if this is fair to post, but this is a Photoshop attempt to see
what a full flat grind would look like on the G-10 Poliwog. I'm not even sure
if it's technically correct, but i think it looks kinda cool
