I've had my Junior for a little while and seeing pictures of others, I decided to make it a clip point. Just takes time and patience. I like it a little better for my uses.

Welcome, Knives-tools! Looks great - is that G10? How did you do that?
- best wishes, Jazz.
Thanks for fixing the links! It's the stock scales just hydrographic dip in burl wood.
That's a sweet looking scale material. Can we get a spine view of the file work?
I've been wondering about that hydrographic printing stuff for a while. Is it durable?
My brother used it to camo-print his hunting rig, and he seemed happy with it. Not sure about its long-term durability, though...
Looks great, K-T!

The durability depends on what you are doing to it. It holds up great for in and out of the pocket edc stuff. It's not scratch resistant to a screw driver or other hard metals but it doesn't scratch when hit with things like a finger nail or soft items like wood and what not.
I can't get a good pic of the spin work but I will try

Stew, that Pride is really cool. I like that color. Nice job.
- best wishes, Jazz.
JLS - Awesome Job. I would buy a Junior right now if they came that way. Would love to see how the spine came out, it looks really clean! Can you elaborate on how you did it?
JLS, GREAT JOB ! You changed the Jr. from a knife I had no interest in to a "Gotta Have".

Thanks guys, but you need to see what Dialex did with his design. I just performed the same mod that he showed a months back. http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showt...164#post715164
The spine still needs a bit of cleanup, so I won't show pictures yet. This was just done on a belt sander with a pan of cold water nearby; just be sure to keep it cool. I'd considered making a more drastic angle, but I wanted to keep Dialex's mark on the back side of the blade. This may get a regrind for a thinner edge, so if the mark is ground off, I'll likely make a slightly more acute tip.
The knife as it comes is fantastic, but I've never been a big fan of drop points for what I generally do. I like a finer tip that takes more care in use. The knife is great for it's intended purpose of being great for a younger audience. Since I'm in my 30's, 6'2" and 250 lbs, I decided to customize it a bit for me.![]()
