Olive Drab Green(old army green) on a Stretch ZDP 189. Alpha Supply

    Course texture.

Milled the G10 down to .090" for screws to fit.

No it's not the same shade as folage green.

I just flat backed my delica 4 to make it more like the blade on the Delica 1

The Delica 4 I got as a gift from a member on a different forum.

It was found rusted and very badly misssharpend he figured I could get a little more life out of it

It's a work in progress I got to flaten it a little more I thought I was done till I lined it up with my delica1. Lots of work to do to get the edge back left to do.

The delica 1 was not in the best shape when I got it the blade had a few bad scratches and light pitting all over I've trying to match spyderco factory finish and I think I'm getting it very close so it's been modded a little to
My favorite Spyderco is the one that I used the most Today

Nice, and cool pic. Now, the way your picture compares the grind heights shows where the grind on the saber Delica should be. A little higher, but not FFG.

    Thanks Jazz

I agree about the grind. It could even be a bit higher than the D1. Not ffg but close.

I wouldn't say fail. Just needs some smoothing and patience. I scratch every knife I modify - makes me mad, but at least I'll use it. I don't have the patience to get every scratch out. Thanks for sharing.

    - best wishes, Jazz.

Yeah, I think you can save that Delica.

Gull, the coarse G-10 on that Stretch looks nice. It looks like the G-10 on my HEST Folders, which is very coarse. I wouldn't want to have it rub against my pants, though.

I'd agree. A little bit of time and patience, that could look great. (And functional.)

Patience is the hard part. I'm working on Mule scales right now and just having the patience to go slow and be careful is difficult.

    My 2nd Blu-VooDoo Tenacious.

I experimented with a CE Tenacious to see it embedding the liners was possible. Also, I wanted to see how much I could cut down the liners to take the weight off.
On my 1st attempt, I got the weight down to 3.1 oz.
Funny, but when I cut even more of the liners, the 2nd comes in at 3.2oz.
Why? Because I made the knife taller and longer than Blu-Voodoo I. And I used a steel clip instead of the Titanium. I replaced the Titanium on Blu-Voodoo I with a modified steel clip, and the weight went up to 3.2 oz.
    Oh well.
Here are a couple of pics of the new build.

    The liners cut

Scales milled, ready to assemble. this does not show the new steel spacers I had to cut to size.

And the two Blu-Voodoos. I modified the steel clips that cam e on the Tenacious.

I swapped the metal clip for a wire clip on my Gayle Bradley. I saw this on this forum and the guy who did it liked his. I like wire clips so I gave it a try. I really like the wire clip better for carrying as well as using the knife. This isn't much of a modification, especially compared to what some of you guys pull off but it is a mod so here it is. Also, since it isn't too difficult others like me may want to do it even though they aren't experienced at modifying knives.

Polished blue khukuri I've been using for awhile. Shined up the liners and g10 then RIT dyed it.

You could just call it a "Nightmare" grind. Oh wait, I think that's been done already.
