After carrying my Tenacious for a few months, I decided to make some changes.

I haven't been able to enjoy the mod yet since the blade was way off-center when I got everything put back together so I tightened it up quite a bit hoping I could back it off and things would straighten up. Unfortunately, I stripped the pivot screw. Got a new pivot screw and a few handle screws from Spyderco just haven't had a chance to get the stripped one out.

CPMD2 Military with digital camo handles and an edge bevel around 6 degrees per side I think. Also built up a patina over the time it's been EDC'd.

My buddy locked himself out of his house and broke in with his Centofante 4.



I was bored and made a few changes.









It looks a little funky and I need to finish up the ass end, but it fits the hand well and cuts like a demon. I dig it.

Yeah, not the smartest or cheapest way to gain enrty to your abode, but I got a knife out of it. As for owning and using it, shoot me a pm.

I decided I'd take the hump down on my Persistence after seeing someone do it to their Resilience.

First I taped the blade to get a general idea as to what I'd like to do.


Then, the Dremel came out. I used a cut-off wheel as a make-shift grinder. I did it this way because it was more controllable than using a full size grinder or bench grinder. I frequently dipped the blade in water to keep from ruining the temper.

This is what I came up with after all the grinding was done. Disregard the smudges all over the place; they're from the water combined with a dirty rag to dry afterwards.


All cleaned up.


Here you can see a spot where I got careless with the Dremel and rode it down the side of the blade. It doesn't really bother me, but I might polish up the sides of the blade any way.


Here's a shot of the spine after some 3200 grit paper. After this, I hit it with some Brasso on a piece of leather to further polish it.


These Kevlar laced gloves came in handy when it came time to handle the knife.

All in all, I like the mod. It could've been done more cleanly and carefully, though. I may just go back with some 180 grit and rework it since it's not quite as flat as I had wanted. I'd eventually work my way back up to the 3200 and do the sides at the same time.

Here is another one of my mods. I took the clips off of my Endura and Delica and stripped them to the bare metal. I originally had intentions of polishing them, but I liked the beadblasted look a lot and decided to keep it.


I think it looks really nice contrasting against the BRG scales on my ZDP Endura.



Here's the Delica. I think it looks good on the Delica as well, somewhat blending in with the gray FRN.



If anyone wanted to know, I used Jasco Paint and Epoxy Remover. It's nasty stuff, but dang does it work quickly and efficiently.

Not too much of a mod but it made a world of difference for me. I removed the darn tassel thing that was on it and rounded out the the point on the end of the handle..I will be placing a low riding clip or a wire clip on it as soon as i get my dremel back from my brother in law. I had to use a saw and file that is on a multi-tool because i loaned out the dremel. The Terzuola was the only Spyderco that i have received that i was not too fond of but after removing, (INHO) the cheesy looking tassel, it has became one of my favorite knifes..

Here's a Sage CF that I re-profiled to more of a "Para-Milli" type blade as opposed to a "Leaf" profile.
I also totally re-vamped a Chokwe that I got a great deal on ... I shortened the handle and blade more to my liking .... some of the "tradionalist Spyderco ppl" might gasp in horror, but I really enjoy making my mods and have used both knives extensively since.
I also plan on putting a Spyderco pocket clip (a wire one like on my Sage) onto my new Schempp Damascus Delica and actually USING IT!
Let the gasps of horror begin! mu-ha-ha-ha-ha!!

OK ... Finally ... Pic of the Schempp Delica! More modificationage!! I used a Sage II clip that I blued with a blow torch ... I used the lanyard hole for the clip bolt and Dremmeled out two channels for the clip to rest in ... I wish Sal would offer these with this clip configuration!
