the blade is made out of an old file, you can still see the texture on it,
and yes i do H/T myself.
Lerman, I really like that. It has a really comfortable look to it. I have a few different knives made out of files and it's one of my favorite type tool steels. They get a nice bite to them, and take and hold edges well.
