I met up with a young guy, "Andy" who is a knife enthusiest as well. I responded to his on-line add for a few knives he was selling.
I got from him a Spyderco Native PE and Spyderco Salt I PE Black FRN handle.
I also got from him a CRKT M21-14G "Carson Flipper". Its all black/dark grey with G10 handles and in mint condition.
The Native and Salt-I are in real good condition, very minor wear and tear. Im going to take them into work tonight and clean them up and oil them really nice. I also need to give them a bit of a sharpen.
The best part is.........I paid nothing for all of them except the purchase of a soda where we met up.
I was first only interested in the Spydies and made an offer on them both. But I guess being the only person wanting them from him and saw them as a deal, out of the goodness of his heart he gifted them to me.
I am floored at this gesture since obviously there is a little bit of a financial loss to Andy. I pressed to pay him but he declined.
He did however have a dead sexy Titanium Sage. Ive never seen one in person and was surprised at how light it was. He also has a few other higher end Spydies.
Im not a CRKT fan but this knife has really impressed me so far. A little of the G10 scaling needs to be ground away in order to allow full access to the locking lever, but it is really nice.
I've invited him onto this forum. We shop at the same knife store I found out, so we run in the same circle.
So in turn, Ive got to find something I can either offer him at some point or someone else. My gain should be passed onto someone else.
Im also very impressed and totally turned onto the Salt serios of Spydies. They are so bloody light but sturdy. Im going to be carrying this Salt with a Ruko Hawk-bill style knife (similar to the Tasman) as it is the same size and weight.
Now I want more Salts. H1 and light weight handles, you cannot go wrong.
Once again, thanks Andy and I hope to see you here in the forum. When I wear and use these obviously I will think of your generousity every time.

's - I have sincerely now lost count.
