eBay Spyderco laugh of the Day

If it were not for this: "This is BRAND new in the box Purchased a few years ago and was never used as I bought many after I lost my last one. This was only taken out of the box for pictures.", it would be just another mix-up, but...

    At least Spyderco is correct

I think the seller isn't practitioner in knives, we should let him live.

Depending on what came in that old box it might be rather valuable to the right collector!

    My eBay whine

There is a burgundy micarta Jester on eBay right now. Buy-it-now price is a rather staggering $140. I looked at the completed listings and a NIB micarta Jester sold last month for $63.50. I submitted a best offer of $65, which I thought was more than fair because it was above the proven current market value of the knife.

The seller came back with a counteroffer of $130. I sent them the link to the previous auction and explained my reasons for offering $65. We'll see how it goes. I'm just wondering how in the world they came up with $140 when the same knife sold for $63.50 two weeks ago.
