Arrow Pic Request: Spyderco Kris and Persian

    Hi All.

I just got a Spyderco Kris today (very nice Schempp knife) and would like to see how it looks and compares size-wise when next to another very popular Schempp knife - the Persian. Can anyone accommodate this request? There has to be some of you out there who have both. Thanks

    Hi Jay,

I believe Wouter might have a comparison shot of all the micarta Schempps IIRC.

Sorry I don't have one - thought I had but I shot my Kris independently of any other knives.... and now regretably I no longer have one

Thanks, Daniel. You may no longer have a Kris, but something tells me you have a Persian or three

You might be right there I might even have thrice what you mention They might all be going under the knife for some surgery later in the year depending on who I can find to do it

However, the Kris sale was regretable. Will need to go find another one from some mates later down the track. It's not so useable for me and thus it went. Persian is a more useful blade profile IMHO (more versatile is what I mean). Though the Kris is a magnificent slicer if used correctly, and a devastating impact tool and SD tool

I think also George Maggos might have a group pic ? And possibly a few more of the senior members here... Peter ?
    Cheers

WhyNot has all versions of the Persians,

Gold Bug & Wheat Sheaf (aka Bugless) - for the Large Persian C83
Gold Bug & Black Bug - for the mini Persian C105

Earlier versions had the gold bug which was later substituted for the black bug and wheat sheaf respectively. There were issues of the gold bug wearing off and so it was changed. Blade stayed the same though... thank goodness Can't get much better when you are so close to perfection

Just keep your eyes peeled. I've been looking for one for a while now and it seems that every time one pops up and isn't terribly expensive, it sells before before I even find out about it. Now if only Spyderco would do a sprint in buffed red G10, like the Persian sprint...

    Nice pics again Blondie

About time we saw some spring/summertime shots ??? . I think I need to do some photo therapy soon as well. I've been slacking off very badly in my contributions to this forum lately.

I would urge anyone out there who hasn't got a Persian to get out and buy the red sprint Persians and use them. I use mine regularly and marvel at their prowess ! Thanks Ed

Persian is really great cutter. Just finished breaking down boxes for recycle, Persian did a great job.
