    Smile Record Snow!

Never this early, has it snowed in this area. We were ecstatic, but not enough to build snowmen. Now snow to many of you is no big deal, but it may be 25 years before we get more. Since we are 45min. from the Gulf, it's not expected.

Hmmm, snow in Louisiana...kind of refutes global warming, doesn't it?

Too bad you didn't get enough snow to make snow cream - that's one of my favorite winter treats.

Got snow in south MS too. All schools are closed. Folks don't know how to drive in snow, ice, or slush.... Heck we have wrecks around here when it just rains.

I thought the correct terminology is now Climate Change

We finally got snow We got a bit a few weeks ago, and then on the weekend, we got something like 5 inches or so. It's been very mild for us this year so far.

Or, like the stock market, the climate is undergoing a "correction"...

Awoke to the same thing this morning...It's been years since I've seen snow like this in this part of the state. I live down in the Southwestern part, very close to the Gulf as well. This is indeed a rarity.

The first 3 good snows in Calgary and area up here are responsible for about a thousand wrecks or so. The 3 months of crappy sledding every year makes the imbeciles think July is here year 'round. "Pavement is pavement even if there is 4 inches of snow on top".

On a different note, is Louisiana in need of the moisture? Perhaps it was Georgia that I saw an article on that was desparetly dry. Hope it is working well for you in any regards.

Having a ice storm here. Left work at 4, normal 20 minute trip home took 45, most of the extra was on the quarter mile walk to my car. Sidewalks were like a skating rink. The ride was a bit of a thrill too. We get a lot more winter weather than you folks in LA, but good tires were apparently not a high priority for half the car owners here.
