Has anybody noticed the prices on Ebay lately. This is without a doubt the lowest i have seen prices on spydies. It is a buyers market, get em while you can.

Not just Spydercos either, bids for pretty much all knives, and I'd imagine most other "collectibles" as well, are down.

Check out gun stuff.
If you can find anything it is high.

its awesome if youre buying, crappy if youre selling.
ive had some good snags off of ebay latley, things that id be the only bidder on and basicly get a steal
Ive noticed that as well! Gun prices have been strange the last few months, about two months ago I saw prices drop as a kinda "lets get rid of everything before its to late" to a "hey %100 price incease because we can... YAY"

No really surprise there Jeff. Guns and gold always go up in times of doubt. Between the economy and the election results, there's an abundant supply of that right now.

I hear ya on both the knives and the guns. As a knife collector and user I have also noticed the SPyderco's and other knives taking an age to sell in For Sale sections in other forums. Also they are priced very keenly too. I know cos I have sold a few lately at less than what I paid for my collectors piecesBut them's the breaks. Some still are fetching decent money but some not so.
Guns on the other hand !!! As a sporting shooter in a country where they are highly regulated....plus we are on the other side of the world. I have just been told by a few gun dealers I communicate with that all prices are going up effecive NOW. Too bad for me. As a relative newbie to the sport I am only now just getting a few tools of the trade, and was saving up for a couple of new pieces (S&W 686 in 4" barrel, and a Pardini Rapid).... well that's what I thought. I was given a quote that has risen by around 25-30% since 2 weeks agoOh well, it'll have to be just the 1 piece for now and a reloding press (for long term savings
)
So, if anyone is looking to buying knives the time is ripe for it now. Go see if you can snag a bargain or two. But note the highly prized ones are still going for rapishly high amounts, the middle of the road collectibles seem to be better value and the regular stuff you can sometimes steal them awayTime for me to Yin and Yang I believe !

Sadly, as a UK buyer buying from the USA, the price drops have been eaten up by a poor exchange rate.![]()
Yes and No. 5 years ago on the bay things were STUPID cheap! FRN Dyads for $30, Lum Tanto's for under a buk ($75 Closeout here), Ronins an Yojis for $70-80. I do indeed see many get through under dealer cost but then again there are many more Spydie Listings now that ebay offers the .35 bin (screw you on the final value fee).
My exchange rate falled so huge that spydies are 40% expensiv than summer. thats Su**s![]()
