Man, i really want one of those Police regrinds, but i'd have to relocate that last pin on the back and reshape the butt of the handle...that's just way too much handle for the blade that you end up with.

Are those wooden spyderco kits a new product ? I have seen the Crkt ones and got sent one as a freebie but it was poor.
I like the flipper but maybe it's my OCD I just can't cope with the stainless frame on one side of thes types of knives, layering the same material over the frame would be my solution.
Although there is probably at least more than one glaringly obvious reason why it couldn't be done, I still would buy one though.

That wooden knife kit looks like something I could build and give to my 5-year-old. Very cool and much safer than giving him a real knife.

please note those wooden dragonflys are extremely delicate. mine came with a broken handle but i just glued it and carried on. it would be fun to re-make the pieces in a nice hardwood and give it a nice finish.

speaking of, its also my latest purchase..

    broken piece

    Well not technically a purchase.

A local forum had a raffle that they called The Fat Chance draw.
First prize was $500 to spend at the on line store Urban Conquest.

    Guess Who won first prize.

just got this chokwe in the mail about 10 minutes ago. i got it from knife center and it was still sealed in the plastic bag. my question is, why is it not the least bit sharp? theres an edge on it but it just tears paper.. i cleaned it thinking oil may be the cause but no luck. any other issues with dull brand new spydercos? all of my others were shaving out of the box. ill try my ceramic rods later tonight and hopefully that helps. if not i guess ill pay to send it to golden and get sharpened =/

regardless, everything else is fantastic.. f&f from taiwan is flawless aside from the edge. love the size to weight ratio of this thing. benchmade 890 is to show size.

That is odd, mine came super sharp, in fact one of the sharpest I have ever received from Spyderco.
