couple nights ago doing some prep work on these new beautiful para-military2s - black on black
one manuf. 02-11 other 04-11 I believe. did some custom work on the liners for rust prevention and modified the pivot. excellent design. they perform wondrously with the flat grind. normally I do not like designs that have liners but for this I made a exception and it was well worth the prep work. thinking about getting a few more will have to see what rarer models are available. would like to get a m390 or s90v version I hear they are out there someplace from posters on bladeforums.

nice . whay is the handel cut-out ? for the "grip" weight water ? greeetzzz enjoy the blade
I think it's for changing the grip from the saber grip to the reverse grip by sliding the knife between the thumb and the forefinger.
From the spyderco press release about this knife:
For reducing the weight, the blade has a tapered tang.Micarta handle which has elliptical cutouts for indexing and enhanced.

came in today . there is not a thing i can say that isn't already told about the delica and the uk pk . i am so happy . the ukpk is a beauty and wil do a lot of pocket time (sharp;leagel;light;my first golden;first "sal-sign";combo edge so goes for all tasks; nice gray color;top grip on handel; can you feel that i am pleased with the ukpk? ).
the delica is a "must have" and will be used at home .

I had to send my Grey Para2 back to Spyderco to fix the scales and Spyderco sent me a new one. It opens and closes smoother then any other Para2 I've ever handled.

I've had my eyes out for a grey Calypso Jr for a while now and finally got one that was "used" (looks new, but no box). That's fine, as I was going to use it anyway, so I don't need it to have high resale value. As with many of the Calypso Jrs, the blade isn't quite straight (bends toward the clip side) but doesn't rub the handle at all. It was perhaps the dullest Spydie I've ever gotten (no signs of use or sharpening), but VG-10 is an easy steel to fix up on the Sharpmaker, even for people who lack sharpening skills like me. After about ten minutes on the Sharpmaker, I had it reprofiled to 30 degrees and it slices like a champ now.

ZDP Endura and "new" Economy.
The Economy I got for the original MSRP price listed on spydiewiki.com site. It has been used, but not much and all the edge took was a stropping really. There is a tiny nick in the tip. Shown with my Standard to compare handle wear (or lack of wear).
