Late postman.

Thanks mate...........I'm after the siblings next, the Blue and Yellow Monsters but the prices are out of my reach for the moment..........
The exchange rate for the Aussie versus US Dollar has crashed 30-40% in the last few months, bummer eh?
I own two other Seiko's including a Gold one from my old company, but this is by far the best.
When they arrive, later this week hopefully, I'll post my latest collection of Spydies.......a late Xmas present to myself via Spydercovt and the wonderful Mr Tom Berry (Catamount on here).
Regards,
BRIAN

And last but most definitely not least Carbon Fibre Native 4 together with Pink Native, bought in memory of two lovely Ladies I have known in my life who have succumbed to the evil of breast cancer...................
The former knife feels soooo, well, slick and smooth in the nicest possible way!
That's all for now folks! I'll try for some in-hand shots this weekend, for some reason my camera spat the dummy when I tried to tonight.............

BRIAN
Recently received a new Native and today, I received a Para Military. Here are some pics:
Native:
Para:
I had a Native III and decided I owed myself one of the earlier models. I really like the black finish applied by Spyderco, as opposed to the thick, crinkle coat spoooge applied some makers of "tactical" knives.
This Native's blade was rubbing against both scales, so I took some sandpaper to the FRN to relieve them a little. All is well now.
I've no experience yet with the Para but, as expected, fit and finish are great. Opens and closes smoothly and the sharp blade is centered nicely between the scales.
The oil spot shown in the picture is invisible to the naked eye...at least my old eyes.
The Para is quite a bit lighter than the similarly sized Mini-Manix and, if I can get used to tip down carry, will see some pocket time.
Thanks for looking.

Just recieved a Tenacious PE and a Benchmade Mini Grip.
Here is the review I posted over on Sig Forum:
Well I recieved the Benchmade Mini Grip 555HG and Spyderco Tenacious PE on Saturday from KnifeWorks. They are truly a great company to buy from. Great communication, fast shipment and the knives were packaged in a nice sturdy cardboard box (not a padded envelope like some places do).
I took them out of their boxes and was suprised at how small the Benchmade Mini Griptilian is. The Spyderco Tenacious was sized how I thought it would be. I'm a longtime Spyderco fan, alot of their knives just seem to fit my hand perfectly.... they have their ergos dialed in. This Mini Grip is actually my first Benchmade knife.
As I mentioned originally I was trying to stay within MI's 3" or less blade length rule for carrying even though that law is open to alot of interpretation. The Benchmade Mini Grip's blade length is listed as 2.91", the Spyderco Tenacious's blade length is listed as 3.375" so..... well, lets forget about the MI law
My thoughts and observations....
1.They both seem well made... the Spyderco a little heavier duty.
2.I like the heft and "medium" size of the Spyderco better.
3.I'm a liner lock fan so the Spyderco wins here for me also.
4.I didn't know the Spyderco Tenacious was made in CHINA !!! Bummer !
5.The Benchmade Mini Grip that I recieved had a few rough machining spots (the thumb hole on the blade and in the serrations on the spine of the blade.
6.The Spyderco I recieved here is machined perfect as far as I can see.
Me thinking out loud:
1.I wish Spyderco would make a USA made Tenacious or at the very least a Japanese made one. Currently it's street priced at $35. I'd easily pay $50-$75 for this knife if it was made in the USA.
2.I wish Benchmade offered the Griptilian family of knives with a liner lock and the ability to position the clip for point down carry.
I don't want anyone thinking I'm bashing the Benchmade. I mentioned I was a Spyderco fan from way back. With that said.... I'm gonna order the Benchmade 555HG's larger brother the 550HG now
