i always have one when i am at work but i tend to forget to grab one when i am just running out of the house, probably because i am making sure i have diapers, wipes, and food for the kids and the kids themselves.

i usually leave a spydie in a pocket of all my coat or in my backpacks so that doesn't happen too much. crickets work the best for that, small and light to leave and forget but when you need it, it delivers![]()

For me, it happens so rarely, I can't even remember the last time it happened. It would be like forgetting my wallet.
I prefer to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Never happens to me.
I am more likely to forget my IDs, or work keys with ID what happens quite often, or cell phone, sometimes even house keys, but never a knife.
In the worst case, if I would forget my blades, I still keep some stuff on my keychain, which I actually dont even consider knives, more of a keychain - V`nox Escort and UtiliKey.

It's happened to me a few times and it always sucks. It seems that's always the day when I REALLY need one.

Once or twice a year. When it happens I move my sharkie and surefire up to my primary pockets and voila! Armed and dangerous.

dude never, rather forget to wear socks or a shirt, than forget a knife.i tend to forget a knife in my pocket, when i change gear.the lightweight FRN'Spydies are so light, that they always tag along.
Nope. The only times in recent history that I haven't had one was when traveling via airplane.
Oh, and the time I was going to the Cavalier's game. I realized that I had my knife in my pocket as I approached the metal detectors. Well, I fould a very nice, very dusty spot in the team shop to hide it until after the game. It was just a cheapy, otherwise it would have been a long walk back to the car.
I'm with Mr. Blonde. A few months back I got to work and realized that I had forgotten to put a knife in my pocket before I left the house. I felt NAKED!!I didn't feel right until I went out to my car and got my Endura 3 CE out of the glove box and clipped it on.
To answer the question, yes it has happened but I usually have access to a spare somewhere!
In the last 35 years, you could literally count on one hand the number of days that I have been without a knife.

The last time I went outside without a knife was when I was in boot camp and wasn't allowed to have anything in my pockets except the approved spiral notebook and government issue pen. I forget my wallet more often than I forget knives.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.
Never happened to me.
I have my EDC on me practically 24/7 even when asleep(with exception of when I carry my Milie, not the most comfortable knife to sleep with![]()
In that case I'll trade it for my SS Cricket/SE![]()

I always have the Byrd finch on my keychain and a Leatherman wave in my bag, but it's just not the same as a trusty at the ready pocket knife.

If I do ever forget one I would also be forgetting my wallet and watch as they all sit together when not on my person. I also always have one in my car and my wifes car. Now if I forget and do not drive either of those then that would truely suckbut it hasn't happened.

No. I would have to be running out of the house in my underwear or less to forget any knive(s). EDC is EDC. Other than electronic devices, my pants for the next day are fully loaded before I go to bed. And they are within an arms reach of the bed as are my slippers. Even if I was awakened by the smoke alarms, my plan would be to take the extra 12+/- seconds to put my pants and slippers on before evacuating everybody. I may need my pants and what I have in my pockets to get the job done.
I've forgotten my wallet, but never my knife!
