    Gangland on the History Channel

i have been DVR'ing this program and they had previews of next Thursdays show. it said it is going to be about the Cabrini Green projects. thats where i was a cop at about 8 years ago, it was slowing down by then and most of the project are knocked down now but in its hayday it was a regular shooting gallery. it should be an interesting show if you guys want to watch it.

I've seen those on the guide, but never stopped to watch; either the show was almost over or there was something else that caught my attention. I've liked the 'gang based' shows they've had in the past though, so I'll try to catch more of these.

This show is pretty good. Though I think they just tell stores of meaningless people within the gangs to portray a story. I am much more interested in the history and operation than a story of a rat. Such as the show on MS-13, I could care less about some girl getting killed due to her being a rat, shoot she deserved it if ya ask me. If ya don't want the lifestyle, don't join. Ive lost a lot of friends to due to gangs. All foolish.

I find it interesting, but take the stories with a grain of salt. The story they did on the Hell's Angels was not totally honest. The undercover officer makes claims he was made a full member of the Hell's Angel, but actually never made it past being a prospect.

i just read 2 books on that...they told them that they were gonna get their patch after they found out about them killing a mongol biker(they faked the killing).it was just a matter of waiting for the next big meeting ...so technically no but they were told they had made it.
