I just got two music albums, but they're in FLAC format, and I want to play them on itunes, so I need a FLAC to ALAC converter. I've tried DBpoweramp, but whenever I download it, it won't install.

What OS are you using? And do they need to be ALAC?
I'm using XP, and I would prefer ALAC, but if Itunes can read it, I'll use it.

You might want to check out iTunesEncode.
Most of the other solutions I'm aware of are for Mac.
Were you getting any specific errors when you tried installing dBpoweramp?
Another possibility might be to burn the FLAC files as an audio disc, then rip it into iTunes.
I just reinstalled DBpoweramp to try and tell you what the error was, and it worked?I'm converting everything right now, but thanks for the help.

Hi KDS,
Sorry i read this post a little late. As a musicfreak i recommend you the following freeware nero flac plugin freeware . Just install it in your programfiles nero map.
That is if you use nero burning software. With this plugin you don't have to convert the files.

Next to that you could install the winamp free musicplayer. winamp.com This one supports flac files so you can listen on your pc or connect your pc to your stereoset.
Next to that they have an .ape plugin for simular files. But this one does not work well . Your can install monkeyaudioplayer to support this filetype.
