    Wow...

Lovely damascus Ed! One pattern on one side, and another patten on the other (I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me!).

Jens Anso sure makes some nice knives.

I don't know how Ed Schempp does that damascus. That's is so sweet.

I wonder myself, how does Ed do it, the man is an artist.

Artist indeed. I think I am going to have to spend some serious money. I now need a Schempp damascus blade. Hmm..Schempp tomahawk also sounds interesting.

Perhaps an original Schempp Kris might do the trick? Posts 25 and 27.

    Bees and Hive

A friend had given me a bunch of 9620 hex rod and after a couple of years I figured out how to assemble a billet with nickel between the hex rods. After I made the "hive" I had to make bees to compliment the hive. Using damask, steel and nickel I made mosaic bees, the wings are forged cable. The first two bees were in 5 inch cube billets. I constructed a loaf of 4 chunks of 64 bees and 4 chunks of hive. I inverted the slabs I cut from the loaf and San Maied the material that is in Jens blade.

Jens and I think alike on a lot of knife topics. He has a very good understanding on how to use the material. Jens and I are talking about some very personalized material to be used in future projects...Take Care...Ed

The mosaic damascus looks amazing Mr. Schempp. Any more collaborations in the works.

Totally "grail worthy"!!! I used to wonder how Ed did these damascus wonders, but stopped before I'd go nutz! Now, I just kick back and look at 'em like this:
