    Wink Aussie spydies by Giant1

Here are some spydies that reside downunder in beautiful Sydney Australia. I have a small collection and will post pics as we get the time to take them. Hope you fellow spydie lovers enjoy them.

Thought I would start with my EDC. One of my favourite spydies. Note the beautiful lines of the knife.

Those are a couple beauties G1.
I have to assume that you were EXTRA careful placing them on the rocks for the pic's!

    Thanks Roman.

I've been wanting to do this ever since I saw the pictures that Fellyjr, whynot and some of the other guys post to the forum. Those guys do such a good job of it, I can only hope to imitate them a liitle.

I've got a few more great knives to take shots of as we get time.

    Thanks fellyjr

My wife is the camera person in our family, so she took the shots for me.

......OH YEAH, I was carefull alright, you would have thought I was placing my first born on the rocks instead of some knives.

    Hi David

The Viele two looks great and just fits in my hand like it was designed specifically for me only. I have EDC'd Delicas and a couple of other knives but the Velie 2 is it for me and I doubt it will get replaced.

I believe I can justify carrying a knife for my occupation and the size is not too intimidating when it comes out of the pocket.

I have a spare one NIB and looking for another one or two to put away.

If size were not an issue i would say that the C46 LUM tanto is also a fantastic knife and would carry it for sure. Sadly some laws designed to keep the idiots at bay also effect the rest of us

    Dyad twins

Here are some shots of my micro Dyad next a C44 that I had slightly modified by having jigged bone scales and bolsters added. I am on the look out for a junior now to have the complete set. I wiil more than likely redo all 3 then so that the scales all match perfectly for colour.

I hope you like these shots, and please remember I am a total amateur at this. Cheers.

    Smile Couple o' Kopas

I don't get into the Kopas too much but I have these two because I like MOP and Micarta. I will get the jigged bone when they come out and am on the look out for a Cocobolo.

Hope all the Kopa nuts out there enjoy these.

The clips really are a job well done on the Kopas

    Ramco / Laguiole

Some say this is not really a Spydie. Well I say it came in a Spydie box so it must be so . Plus it's a very pretty knife. Beautiful lines and proportions for such a long knife. Well made too.

BEAUTIFUL work Frank !.... just awesome....new at this my butt

There are some seriously addicted Aussie Spyderknuts down here. Pity the conversion rate works not in our favour Oh well, just makes it more lustful once you get what you were hunting.

Love the Kopas BTW, my favourites. Gotta love the MOP. The micarta is good for EDCing, but I love the glint and depth of the MOP.

Your photos and composition of them are excellent. Keep 'em coming. Love your blades. Your selected collection are great. Hope you do find your holy grail/s

Very well done, and a very nice collection! I really like the custom Dyad, can't wait to see all three when you get them refinished.

Looking forward to more from you, thanks for sharing with us!

    Heheh Jaislandboy,

We here men from downunder are either brave or crazy, but we have rock solid (ROFL pun intended !) hands. We don't damage the blades as we gingerly place them on soft stone (well my sandstone is soft...not sure about G1's beach rocks . Then we quickly take happy snaps, before our wives find out how many knives we actually have.

Keep em coming G1. You're doing really well. I love the setting too, regardless of what everyone else says

    Cheers
    Dan

PS: long weekend in NSW this weekend so expect a few more photos from us downunder.
    Cheers
