Sal with the introduction in the near future of two new steels for the Military would Spyderco consider a small lefty run of either steel ? Regards MG2

I'd buy one if it was a frame lock.

Count me in. A lefty sprint run is a great idea. BG42, CPM D2, or S90V would be great, but S30V is fine.
I would buy one for sure. Even better if it is made with one of the upcoming new steels.
Another vote for a "correct" hand.![]()

Thanks for posting guys , we need to hear from more lefty guys to convince Sal a need for just one little run ! MG2
I would love to see a lefty version.. They could start with the new green G-10 coming out soon.![]()

I have to agree Tank , Green G10 would be great , but i would settle even for a standard black S30 V if offered in the future .
I think it was over at BladeForums.com in the Spyderco forum where Sal said that one of the improvements for the next generation of Millies is a 4 way clip. Did anybody else see that, or was I just dreaming?
I have only heard that the lefty friendly Para military in the future may be Ambi clip up and down , not sure if I have missed this info about the Military . If so it would be a first , a right hand liner with lefty/righty clip for Spyderco , doubt Sal would go with this as other makers do with their knives
Still have not figured out exactly how it works, but the planned "stop lock" version of the Military "may" be full ambi (as opposed to right hand biased, but "lefty friendly"). Can't really get too excited over a LH Military myself. Sure, it would be nice from a "southpaw pride" standpoint and I whould certainly add one to my collection. But, lefty, righty, or ambi, the Military handle is just too long to ride well in the bottom of my back pocket. For that reason, it would never see any carry time.

Thank you Paul for the info and input as always . The Military upgrade in the future escaped me , sounds promising .
Just moving to a compression lock will make it ambi and give it the much needed strength. I think after 10+ years of the Military, it needs a new lock, and it doesn't need much else.
Let me guess, you are right handed. The ONLY way a lock mechanism that operates from side-to-side could be considered truly ambidextrous would be if it could be disengaged by pushing in either direction. No such lock exists, or is likely to. Compression locks are handed, they are just somewhat less lefty unfriendly than liner and Reeves style framelocks but that is only because Spyderco has designed its compression lock knives to minimize their handedness rather than exacerbate it as is the case of many liner and Reeves style framelock designs where the opening hole only accessible to right handers.Originally Posted by Vincent

lefty mili? Yes please.

It could make me think, although I am not sure I would prefer it more than some other interesting Spyderco
But a limited spring run would feed the hungry lefty guys, for sure![]()
