In light of GarageBoy's recent encounter with "New York's Finest," I have been re-evaluating my choice of EDC. My usual is a Para-military clipped to my back pocket and a smaller knife, such as the Caly3 in the front.

Seeing how any knife that can be Spyderdropped can be (malevolently or mistakenly) interpreted as a "gravity blade," I'm wondering what Spydercos cannot be Spyderdropped, in interest of not having a similar encounter?

My first reaction is to EDC the UKPK, but I am not fully comfortable with using a non-locking knife in certain ways, so I am looking for locking Spydies that won't be classified as a "gravity knife" here in good (bad?) old NYC. Preferably around 3".

Any suggestions?
