Thanks Giant11. I use just the 3x optical zoom on my Sony digicam; but for this kind of work the 6 megapixel setting and a photoshop tweak are my best friends.

My wife received a gorgeous Abalone SFSW spydie last weekend. I was allowed to borrow it for a few shots of "my" Santa Fe Spydies collection.

While I was at it, shooting the Santa Fe Spydies. I realized that I by now had fullfilled my promise to get three Lavas for all occasions; regular carry/clipless carry/lefty carry.

    Wonderful pictures Wouter.
Lately i noticed that I like SFSW knives with serrations much more than PE.
Your wife's knife is the beauty. Is she going to EDC it?

Actually, I'm in the process of negotiating 'sharing rights' on the SFSW Delica. She will carry it, as would I. But her favorite knife to date is the Police Tieclipit, followed by the blue almite Navigator. They clip easier to a lining in a purse.

The MOP Kiwi, it was my engagement gift. After that, I like the Delica best with the Cricket a close third. If the Cricket would have a tip-up clip, it would be second.

My first reaction to the Delica was 'WOW', but it handles wonderfully and in the sunlight it actually becomes 'calmer' while reaviling even more colors, hard to explain. That knife will never be boring, that's for sure.

And I'd love to see how sharp you could get a Lava. The out-of-the-box edge is thinner then that Poliwog, before you worked on that edge.
