That is correct, I noticed that it wasn't as sharp as my other spydies straight from the box, so I gave it a few swipes on the 40degree angle of my Sharpmaker, worked like a charm.

    Mule Team with Sastre Sheath

Finally, I got the Mule sheath that I really like. Mike Sastre's Generic Mule Team Sheath is top notch. The fit is snug with a crisp release. The fit and finish are perfect and the G-Lok clip is great. I used a simple cordwrap, that Peter Atwood demonstrates on his website. I like the cordwrap, it makes for a very compact package and it carries snug and out of sight. The knife cuts like a small Temperance. The edgeholding is pretty impressive, but I haven't used it much yet.

Furthermore, I took the opportunity to test my new semi-portable homemade lightbox. I'll need this contraption for a lot of pics to be taken later this week.....

It's nice to see someone else benefitting of my little 'invention'. I'd have to admit that a Vic Classic and a SE Ladybug III is probably all I 'need' in a regular day, but 'need' and 'want' are not necessarily the same thing. I simnply feel naked without a real folder on me.

    Urbans

I got these in a few weeks ago. I'm just too stuck on the way the production prototype looked last year, that I just took these photos before I switched blades. I've been enjoying an Urban with a leaf blade and orange handle ever since. I'll post a review with photos and video of that one soon.

Any suggestions on what angle, action or cutting chore you'd like me to film of my modified Urban?

    Wouter,

Would like to see pics of your modified Urban next to an orange UKPK (for comparison) if that's possible

Will do. It's going to take a bit longer than planned, but I got some new tools to make a nice video review, and I've got to do some work around the house. I hope to post more next weekend.

    French Cook Knife

Time to dust off this ol' thread to see if it still has some life in it.

Yes, it does. Beautiful picture. Like the rest of yours.
I am jealous: Spyderco chef's with 11" blade, black micarta handle. I can only wish that Spyderco would do sprint.
    Wouter, thank you for sharing.

    Ooooh ahhhh

So nice Thanks Wouter for sharing such a nice knife. I've got a Santoku courtesy of our resident fireman. Will be adding more Spydie kitchen gear soon.

I agree with Roman, bring on the sprint kitchen knives ! And of course we want more pics from Wouter

    Wouter,
I am with Roman on asking for more Spyderco kitchen knives in production. New models, sprint runs - everything.
Of course your pictures make them even more appealing.
Please do not make us begging for more.

Thanks guys, I have very complete arsenal of Spydie kitchen knives, but this one is the only in its style.

    See these older pics:

I'm actually slowly starting to 'wear out' some of the kraton handled kitchen knives. They are all users, and have been users for quite a few years now.

I'd love to see the kitchen line being revamped.

Nice. You have quite a few kitchen . Which one is most used and which one is your favorite?

My favorite is the French Cook knife, but before that it was my Homemaker. I just love the bigger knives for slicing and dicing. My most used knife is the k05, the perfect knife to grab in the kitchen for 101 cutting tasks - not limited to food processing.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before but do you mind telling us what kind of camera you use? Your photo's are great!
