    Color My World

Simple poll question--how many of you prefer colored FRN Delicas/Enduras/Etc. to Black ones?

Black/Gray for me. Actually as long as its dark(navy blue, dark green, etc) I don't really mind. I just don't like neon flashing signs in my pocket.

Depends of the knife and environment, but I find my D4 ZDP blue sprint as a very low profile color for clipped in blue jeans
Yellow Salts are reasonable as well.

I am for colours, but I like black ones as well.

For a knife that will be used outdoors, and may be dropped accidentally or intentionally, yellow or orange make sense. Beyond that, color is as likely to be a turn off (the "raspberry sherbert" Caly Jr, Goddard, and Horn) as a turn on (the grey Caly Jr. and Goddard). Then again, does grey qualify as a "color"? Problem with colors is that everyone will say "YES! I want color", but then will qualify that as really meaning they would only purchase one or two very specific colors. As an example, I like light/medium grey, can live with dark blue, but dislike green. I also think ivory/light tan would be attractive, but am not crazy about the tan used on OIF Natives. Needless to say, the chances of finding one specific color the majority would find attractive is fairly slim.

I think White would be awesome! It isn't black, and it is a color most people like*, or at least don't actively dislike. And if the mix is white to start with, as alot of FG and PVC type materials seem to be anyway, it would save them the cost of the dye!

(*More white cars have been sold almost every year for past 30 years than any other color.)

Personally, it would depend on the task at hand. Usually, black is good enough (although I really like the Lil' Temp green), but if I was going hiking or something, I'd want something with a really loud, bright colour. Neon orange, perhaps?

If I have the option, I'll always choose color over black.

Deacon's point just reinforces the FRN kit color idea for Delicas and Enduras. Then people will just debate on how much they would pay for different colors...

    Favorite Delica is blue.

My favorite color is green and in the knife world the closest is Lil Temp. The second favorite is blue, like on ZDP Delica, Dodo is close enough. Also I love black on Caly3 and Persian. I am not sure that I will like green Persian, so for me, preferable color depends on the knife.

My top choices DIW Native5, C83 Persian and Caly3.5/Caly3

I like black, but any color as dark as the BRG is fine. I don't like the cartoonish bright colors though...

Although I prefer bright colors personally, I think shades like the dark blue/gray of the waved Endura/Delica and British Racing Green are a good middle ground. I also like the gray of the Goddard and VG-10 Caly Jr. sprint runs.

If the handle color made it cut better or the edge last longer, I'd have a preference. As it is, I really don't care, although I would like to see a dark blue G-10 Police/Rookie set (insert broken record sounds here )

Black for me, it matches my tactical vest and the special ninja shoes I wear to the mall.

It's also my favorite color for:

    Beer (Guinness)
    Coffee
    Whisky (Jack Daniels Black Label)
    Bread (Rye of course)

and Chocolate (the blacker the better.)

Black for me, or at least dark. On the other hand, bright colored handles make knives look less weapon-like, so they have their place.
