    Snubnose Pics!

No not the Doc, but a tool close to his heart...er belt...er whereever he hides the two to three he carries.

I saw it in my local gunstore/shooting range the other day and just had to have it. I didn't realize Ruger made a double action only SP101. I thought it was an aftermarket modification.

Now, should I have my Glock 30 backup my SP101 or the other way around?

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the pics and something else for me to spend money on!!!

If you don't mind me asking, what do those typically run? I was looking at the S&W .357's...but of course they're really expensive!!! Yeesh!!

    What caliber?

    Thanks!

    Tim

It is a .357, which means it can shoot .38 as well (for those who don't know). I bought mine used, probably not a great deal in retrospect, but I can deal with it. $400.

Sweet zenheretic!! That is one gun that I am really sorry that I sold . I had the version with the hammer. The SP101's are very nice and built like a tank.

    Nice gun Zen!

Now that you've got the snubnose combo going on, do ya feel the urge to hide spydies in your panties?

    Ah.... nice.

That's the gun I revolver-qualified with 14 years ago, one of the last groups to do so I might add. -I didn't know they made anything but DAO.

    A true "all-business" piece. Congratulations!

Hey No pics of me!!!!...Sweet SP101..Looks like it's in great shape...so how'd it shoot?...I would keep it a back up to the Glock..so when the the Glock Jams you still have a gun to shoot...or chuck the the tupperware and buy another Sp101...Yeah that's what I did!!!! They are made DAO, which is easier to defend in Court should you have to use it, (when some shister lawyers says well "You had your gun on a hair trigger" and you can say "NAAAA AHHHH"....Ruger also makes it with an exposed hammer, great for the field and you need to cock that hammer back for a long distant and accurate shot.....up close...you can't beat the DAO...Zen Enjoy!!!... Nothing like a Ruger/Ronin combo Doc

Some more thoughts on the Sp101....Beside being built like a tank....all three of mine have more than 50,000 hot .357 magnum rounds through them, with no wear or tear signs on the gun at all, they look as good as the day I bought em...The gun breaks down totally and I mean totally for a good cleaning like no other revolver...The grips are real special recoil absorbing ones, It is more comfortable shooting the Sp101(all day long) with .357 hot loads than shooting say a S&W snubbie (with the back strap exposed) with one box of .38 special +Ps. Now if you want to talk pain..try shooting the S&W .357 mag Model 340PD. (pictured in my avatar)... at 11oz. this gun will tear the skin right off your hands with hot loads.....I LOVE it!!!!!!!.....Most hate it and put the gun down after three rounds....I shoot mine all day long...Call me a glutton for punishment.....Doc

Worker #9 I don't have good pictures to print (as you all know already Deacon calls me techno-phobic) but Worker#9 I see ya GP 100 and Raise you a Super Blackhawk....10" model....Doc

Awesome!! Thanks, Zen!! I think I've decided to go "old fashioned" and get a revolver instead of a Glock or HK Sig etc...at least for the near future...just want something I can carry w/me if I feel so inclined...the Mossberg 12 gauge isn't very convenient!!! (Short barrell of course!!)

Nice little buggers... but I still preffer big ones... especially that particular model with a triangular barrel (sorry, can't remember the name right now )

One thing about a SP101 2 inch barrel, is you can slip it into your back jeans pocket, wear a loose shirt, and no one would be the wiser. Much smaller than a Block...er Glock. Now with the hammerless, as well as helping defend angainst legal court red herrings, it is less likely to snag on stuff during the draw.

IIRC, when i bought my GP100 back in 1989? the advertising said something about "Santoprene" grips....I bought these solid rubber Hogue grips (i bought em coz I liked the finger grooves...) for the GP and the difference in shock absorbance was night and day....I quickly put my original Santoprene grips back on...

Worker9, I feel inadequate next to your 6!
    Axlis what's with the panties?
